^ Perhaps she doesn't want that, though? Being a brand ambassador and scoring covers? She is still relatively an indie actress and looks to me like she wants to keep that going for a while. The largest production she has been in has been The Lovely Bones really, and that was almost ten years ago.

Hmm ... could be true. But watching her in interviews and on the red carpet - she's no wallflower. She has a competitive spirit and comes across as very astute. My hunch is that she wants to be in the BIG leagues and we'll see her making moves to launch that in the next couple years.

Surprised at the relative lack of covers for Saoirse Ronan. She has an amazing face that photographs well, dresses in an interesting, sometimes quirky way, and is now a three-time Oscar nominee at only 23. I'd put her on the cover of my imaginary magazine in a heartbeat!

Oh the T! As a matter of fact, those who have major projects to promote are snubbed. So having nothing to promote increases your chances for a cover. The sad truth.

Lady Gaga for March is something I’m not that excited for, but I’m not mad either. March is no longer the power issue. With the exception of March 2017, March issues are Vogue’s response to Elle’s “Women in Music” issue, with Vogue’s selection being extremely limited with respect to the genre and stars.

That being said, I’d rather have Lady Gaga over Rihanna. Love Rihanna, but she is the new definition of overexposed. And if it really is Lady Gaga, best believe there’s a political innuendo as a gimmick. Not mad at that either.

Saw tweets of people asking Vogue to give Oprah a cover. Yikes. Not that she doesn’t deserve it. But the premise for the cover is this — “2020 future”. That, to me, is beyond laughable.

Naomi for UK Vogue by M&M. Honey, LOVE beat you to it. Imagine those two covers being side by side in the newsstands. This new Team really has no issue with sharing their coverstars with sister magazines no?

^ Haha, i do have to say i kinda miss their themed issues. March not being the Power issue, makes it such a non event. Last year issue was not special at all, despite the model cover spread. And i LOVED the Age Issue for August (much hated on here)because they always had such interesting women profiled, now we get Gigi and her pop star bf talking about swapping clothes, and being gender fluid!

And agreed on everything else, would take Gaga over so many of the overexposed, usual cover faces they do! Rihanna is defo on the May cover though! No way around that!

Edward better bring it, i need to be wooed!

I also enjoyed the theme issues, it felt very coherent and earnest. Particularly liked the shape issue more than anything *** I'm a sucker for ahleticism.

It seems there's not much to look forward to personally speaking. You have Naomi on the one side, and Rihanna and Gaga on another.

The Shape Issues were a personal favorite! The articles were amazing. I still remember those glorious Beyoncé, Gisele, J.Lo, and ScarJo covers. Those were the days.

It'll be really hilarious if it's Naomi by M&M on Vogue UK. I remember that night shoot Mert posted where it said British Vogue and I think it was incredibly similar to what came out for Love. Wasn't Naomi on top of a car or something in that picture?
