Hmm no, I think you’re reading it wrong. They weren’t announcing that instead of the Gigi cover it was a Gigi/Bella cover. They were saying they hoped that the Gigi cover rumor is true but in addition to Gigi, they also hope Bella is on the cover. They’re adding a wishful caveat to the rumor. Since Bella wasn’t currently rumored, they added “I want Bella” for added emphasis. That’s how I read it, anyways.

Why not just say ‘I hope the G rumor is true but I’d love B as well’. That’s a lot more straightforward and to the point that you’re saying they were trying to make. Juxtapose my precious sentence and their post - two different sentiments are being expressed.

But I’m not going to go back and forth about a post I think was a trolling post because at this rate this thread is 30% solid rumors/leads 70% baseless speculation And I know this so

With Cats out in December I suppose it gives Taylor two opportunities for the cover. If anyone has any sense they’ll be revisiting a September interview however and asking for some updated commentary on the past month or so... and if it’s a Cats cover she lands later in the year, let’s all just pray someone at Vogue has the sense of humour to involve Meredith and Olivia.

The trailer of Cats looked creepy to me. I can totally imagine Vogue doing a cover with Taylor on theme with the movie just like they did for Mary Poppins and I can totally imagine how bad it would look.

To be fair, Taylor’s part (if it follows the stage show) isn’t a very big one. The other females have a much bigger presence. I think a September for the album’s launch seems more logical, but who knows.

I don't know much about Cats, but even from the trailer Taylor's role seemed more like a cameo than something cover worthy. I'd prefer Jennifer Hudson (whose vocals OWNED that trailer) instead.

The role is more than a cameo but she's certainly not one of the leads in the story, unless they've fleshed it out. My memory is sketchy but I don't think the character even has a solo song, but there is a duet with the character Idris Elba is playing.

That being said, they will certainly have written a new song or two for the film in order to have it nominated for Original Song at the Oscars so for all we know Taylor could have another song somewhere. Someone's getting the Oscars bait!

I’m with you! If you rotate to image sideways and zoom in, the composition definitely looks as though it’s a multi-subject cover - unless it’s another full-length cover image like the one with Jennifer Lawrence.

*Oh... upon closer inspection it does look like the Jennifer Lawrence cover by Annie Leibovitz with the New York backdrop.
