Cover Rumor Thread

But of course Kate Moss is working with Testino, the slow campaign to bring this man back is so disgusting!!! I LOVE Testino's work, i MISS his work, but no sexual predator should ever get an easy welcome back!

Super delighted that Phoebe got that cover and it's their best for 2019 imo. Didn't think it was possible for Vogue to top Olivia's cover, but they have. The 2nd season of Fleabag was really great, furthered by her Emmy win, and now this Vogue cover.
There's still InStyle and Marie Claire, but it seems everybody went 'safe' with their casting for December. And that's what makes Phoebe's cover all the more refreshing.
So true, i do wonder how someone like Phoebe will fare at the American newsstands. I just love the fact how bold Anna is with some of her cover choices lately, and the thing is; she has the power to not be limited only by what will "sell" (unlike every other EIC). Of course Fleabag is watched, and discussed in America, but it does feel like it is a bigger thing in UK.

Even someone like Olivia, after her Oscar win, the guy where I buy my magazines asked me who she is, and if she is famous? So i was like; yeah an actress, why? And he said no one is buying the issue, that is easily the worst selling issue of the year, for him.

Don't even start me with Testino because Terry and Demarchalier are still barred, but somehow Weber and now he will get the pass. Is it because the victims were men? Not a topic for this thread, but that's where I stand.

As for Phoebe, one of the first few comments on Vogue's Instagram (Instagram!!) reads 'Gorgeous! Is she a model or an actress?', and then it dawned on me that despite her Emmy win, probably only the pop culture mavens in the US will know who she is because the show isn't at Downton level of popularity. Also, she's not a 'fashion star' either so there's the likelihood that industry people also may not know she is. Regardless, I still think it's great that she got the coverage though because she really deserved it. It's more baffling to me that her only major UK cover so far is for GQ. Despite the fact that she's so popular. Same happened with Micaela Coel from Chewing Gum, who still doesn't have a glossy cover despite her popularity!

Meryl Streep is one of next year's MET Gala co chairs, so I still wouldn't rule a Vogue US cover in the next two months.

And of course, Emma Stone gonna have next year's cover, wearing presumably LV

Jonathan Van Ness for Cosmo is something I really am looking forward to! What a coup

Amy news about the guest editor of the december - jannuary issue of Vogue Paris.

Most UK women's magazines seem to be due out around 5th December, apart from UK Elle, which is down for the week after that, on the 12th, while RuPaul on Vanity Fair is arriving on 29th November.

More shared content for British Vogue.

Via Mediaweek.com.au:

(Edwina) McCann has also invited Edward Enninful, the editor of British Vogue to celebrate the Australian anniversary and he will do fashion shoots, in association with Destination NSW, in iconic Sydney locations during his stay.
“Those features will be published both in Australian and British Vogue next April.”

Not only shared content, but content that's a sponsored advertorial by the tourist board.

Ew, Edward and his reprints strike again.... makes me sick that he's taking British Vogue to new lows

Oh, that's great news! Edwina truly walks the walk. I hope Adut will once again have been shot by an Australian photographer. Jesse Lizotte, please.
Was wondering why she only appeared in an editorial in the December issue! Do hope Charlee and Akiima will get their OG covers as well at some point.
