Cover Rumor Thread

I feel out of the loop but what about Porter summer issue? Should we expect that anytime soon? Did we have the spring issue?

Does Porter even release any issues anymore? I was a huge fan of their cover and contents a few years ago but I haven't seen an issue in awhile. Can someone enlighten us?

American Vogue's next issue is going to be entirely made up of "self generated content by the subjects", according to Anna, so I assume self portraits? I doubt there will be any illustrations or archival content.

The message quoted a Vogue editor as saying: “Considering our August is an issue where we’re chronicling the struggles of the NHS to cope while a vaccine is tried to be made we don’t feel we can have her involved. It just wouldn’t be right. All of our issues July-September will be supporting the frontline healthcare workers and we need to be respectful of them and all they are doing until a vaccine exists.”

The Guardian wrote this about Vogue UK.

She's off her rocker, good that Edward canned her story. This is not the time nor platform for her agenda.

The possibility of having JLO on Vogue cheers me up, it's been over EIGHT years, but with this theme I'm afraid of getting something like Melinia Trump cover... I hope they do something with iconic wedding dresses from Gianni Versace, Lacroix, Galliano, KL and even some recent from Elie Saab and Zuhair Murad!
I wish her US GQ cover and editorial were an actual Vogue issue, she was amazing there. She is beautiful, but her music post 2010 sucks...

Where is Vogue Paris? It’s too late this month.

I'm curious too, and touched upon this in the 'Cover Predictions & Speculations' thread. I think had we not been going through the pandemic, we'd of seen the cover last week which makes me question if Alt decided to scrap pre-shot content in favour of something more appropriate?

Not every single edition of Vogue is touching upon the pandemic with their May issue, though. Look at American Vogue (with Gal Gadot), British Vogue (with Rihanna) and more recently Vogue Poland (with Jac Jagaciak) or even Vogue Japan with their June cover (all pre-photographed, of course). VP's June/July issue would be the perfect opportunity for Alt to deliver something symbolic to address the pandemic.

God, I just hope it's not yet another shot-at-home celebration of creativity expressed through pointless selfies  I expect more from Alt.

Normally the April or May issue is a couture cover story as from years past and I presume she shot a couture story pre pandemic. But mind you also France closed up earlier than the US so I bet May wasn’t fully done being designed as last May also had a beauty supplement. So I understand the delay unless she she scrapped everything.

Is that the same layout used in the Super models (and Kendall) getting a tattoo by Mario Testino?

Where on earth is Vogue Paris?

Emmanuelle Alt seems to be so enthralled in her archives that she forgot that she has an issue to promote...or is there really?

Given that they already release a June-July issue, surely Vogue Paris planned out the next two issues some time ago.

It's a pity they couldn't have reserved some of the April content for the May issue, because that cover shot of Marion Cotillard lounging around in the sheets is the sort of stay-at-home glamour I'd expect Vogue Paris to produce, plus the shoot with models on the empty streets of Berlin...

Personally, I think they should just "publish and be damned" because it's not as if Vogue Paris is famous for catering to the sensibilities of the masses.

Perhaps we're going to see an "été" issue which will cover three months, with May, June and July rolled together into a summer volume.
