Cover Rumor Thread

God no, she'd suck all the life out of Lindsay as she does with all her cover subjects. British Vogue could do her justice.

Girl, if you can use your manifestation powers/witchcraft to get us a Lindsay by Meisel for British Vogue cover, I’d love to see it!

Samira has some outlier great/good covers. I’m not completely writing her off yet.

Well that seems like a reach, althought after that Skims campaign I would't put it past him. You just know we'd get some good studio if it really was Meisel, but I was leaning more towards a Lachlan Bailey or Craig McDean direction. An end of summer August cover by Bailey with some beautiful sunset-y warm tones doing wonders to Lindsay's hair and freckles would be amazing.
And I was just reminded that Mert & Marcus shot the July cover. They did a wonderful story with Lindsay for Interview Mag like a decade ago, I'd love to see them reunited as well.

Samira had her hits, but they're very rare and more often than not it's a complete miss for me. I wouldn't wish her covers on anyone.

I don't think Lindsay can score any of the big 4? She couldn't get one when she was undoubtedly *the* Hollywood It girl and had big industry people behind her, I know times have changed but still... maybe if her upcoming movies are very successful and she keeps going with bigger projects?
I was thinking more like Vogue Arabia (expecting a mess) or one of the artsy fartsy European ones. Lindsay seems so much more modest and private nowadays as well, I'm cautiously curious about how her shoots will look like from now on. I think she's definitely been turning things down in recent years as she was always popping up somewhere even if it was a more obscure publication... the Interview mag one she did last year was quite nice though.

I do hope she's okay. Lindsay was probably one of the first celebrities to be cancelled, and media has a huge fault for that, also blacklisting her from everywhere. Maybe was quite a vendetta for her early popularity, some people can't stand her, and used her owns mistakes against her career. People forgot she acted like a young person, when you're a kid you screw up, nobody is perfect. Many famous people had the same behavior (or even worse) than Lindsay, but they never lost a job because they never were exposed. The Weinstein case was a break point in media and culture, because we discovered a darker side in Hollywood, and it was happening at the same time. Lindsay wasn't the real monster that media was telling. 15 years after her, Paris and Britney (even I'm not a fan of them) are doing it well, they don't stayed in that black hole of youth, but after so long we were unfair with all these ladies. I don't know if a Vogue cover can heal everything, but it wouldn't be bad a second chance.

Am I the only one sat here shuddering at the thought of Lindsay Lohan gracing the cover of Vogue? Covers with Lindsay in the past have been far from disastrous (still love those photographs by Mario Testino for Vanity Fair) but think Lohan's old news in 2022 - regardless of a recent marriage.

I think a case can easily be made for her. The ent industry works in circles and LL fits the y2k renaissance like a glove. Her return to the limelight with the Netflix deal (the biggest mainstream project she's had in like a decade) coincides perfectly, plus she's sort of an omnipresent figure in pop culture due to Mean Girls, Parent Trap and other stuff. Her image still being kinda tarnished probably works against her more than relevance, but we all know people can be forgiving with a click-worthy headline. The Vogue crew who worked with her for Life in Looks seemed to have enjoyed it a lot and that episode did well, I was surprised at how positive most of the comments were. Current mag editors also grew up with her and are very aware how she was treated in the media etc (and Vogue has got to be aware she was overlooked by them when she was the biggest star ever as well - especially taking in account who's graced the cover of its numerous international editions since then).

I confused her with Romy Schneider. An account I follow on Twitter shared a picture of Romy but my first thought was a fashion story with Lindsay. I was surprised to notice the similarity.

Any clue about wich magazine will put Elizabeth Debicki on the front? Emma's cover reminds me of this year will be a new season of The Crown. She's an obvious choice and seems British Vogue October will be her if Edward gives publicity to the series again.

i think she could score also Vogue Australia, because she's Australian after all, she's really beautiful.

I'm sure we're bound to see Imelda Staunton on either British or American cover as well. Both Olivia Colman and Claire Foy got covers for their role as the Queen.

that would be amazing if it happens,i'm still mad that Helen Mirren didn't score Vogue USA cover shot by Annie Leibovitz or Mario Testino, but back in time they didn't put older actors on the covers, i think Meryl was the first one to cover US Vogue at that age, shot by Annie on the beach, promoting 'The Iron Lady'?

About Imelda, i'd love to see her on some cover this year,if not Vogue,at least Harper's Bazaar UK shot by Erik Madigan Heck or probably Tatler Magazine

it's a bit too early, but do we have a chance seeing Kate Winslet having the December cover of Vogue for Avatar 2,she has a key role in the 2nd part i think, also would love if they have Margot Robbie for Babylon, she's going to be the lead playing Clara Bow, or she's going to snatch a July 2023 cover for Barbie?

I would love to see Kate by Meisel and Margot playing Barbie by Meisel and Carlyne. Edward take notes. Haha

Kate and Zoe Saldana. Zoe would be a fresh face as Olivia Wilde early this year. Love when US Vogue made a simple and beautiful portrait of someone who never had a cover. If they put Kate too, double pleasant.
