I find strange the absence of Christy Turlington under Edward's British Vogue. She did some covers for other editions a few years ago, same period of the "New Vogue" era, and she's a huge deal as Naomi, Kate and Linda.
I’m surprised she has not graced the cover as well, but a few of his muses have yet to do so. We also have Amber, Shalom, Anna E, Natalia, Raquel, etc who have not made cover appearances and they were all favorites of the magazine.I find strange the absence of Christy Turlington under Edward's British Vogue. I think she was a tiny part of the 'Forces for Change' issue, but yes, she looks great, she's the epitome of ageing gracefully, she's an advocate for maternal health, she's got a famous husband, there's a lovely daughter... perfect fodder for the modern magazine.
and at the same time Naomi was overexposed and a bit less Kate (both were part of th staff, no?)I think she was a tiny part of the 'Forces for Change' issue, but yes, she looks great, she's the epitome of ageing gracefully, she's an advocate for maternal health, she's got a famous husband, there's a lovely daughter... perfect fodder for the modern magazine.
Even when stripped bare, a shot of someone like Christy Turlington instantly reminds us why they had such a successful career - while the dream teams around them might have dispersed, a very photogenic person remains a very photogenic person.
