If Iselin really quited modelling, Aline is the one who has a lot of chances, she's practically Iselin's twin sister.

i have nothing against anja, but i really don't see her for a vogue italia cover. i wouldn't mind iselin again, i loved her last cover and editorial, but i want to see some new girls this year, other than agnete and kamila.

Yes, she had. Vogue IT October 2005, Vogue Glitter by Miles Aldridge, that famous editorial! On of her best editorials ever, I'll never forget that one ...

Hmm ,I guess the Rihanna issue is one of the candidates for one of the magazines I'll get to read during my vacation.I wish Olsen had that issue and Rihanna had the late summer one ,but whatever.

I'm counting on W or Elle for my vacation reading ,as Vogue's summer issues are usually really tiny and not even worth buying(then again the others might be small too but at least their content is decent at times).

^It's been said that Meisel shoots only girls for the VI cover who did not work with other photographers in VI before that. For example Siri, she made her VI debut with Steven Klein thats why people say Meisel doesn't want to work with her. And Anja already has tons of eds with other photographers in VI. But I remember covers with girls like Hana, Adina Fohlin, Natasa Vojnovic (and I think Iselin). They made the cover while they worked with other photgrapers for VI before that.

Meisel clearly doesn't like sloppy seconds, for lack of a better expression. He wants to be the first to shoot a new girl for VI, so he can claim he "made" her. But people are reading way too much into this Siri story (that might not even be true) imo. It's not like a rule he applies regardless of the situation.

For instance, it's not the same thing with Anja. Perhaps she'll never get a cover, but Meisel doesn't have a problem working with her, and she's been around forever, so I doubt he'd refuse to shoot her for VI now just because someone else did it first ages ago.

But of course, whatever Meisel says goes. If he really does feel that Anja's already been in enough of VI prior to the cover, there's no chance for her It'll probably go to a new, fresh face.

But I'm really hoping she'll snag it. One day. Or any Vogue cover for that matter.

I have to admit it is a bit annoying that Meisel is able control so much.I like his work(especially in the early 00's and mid 90's) but lately his stuff has been getting a little stale.I really would love to see more photographers get work(Yelena Yemchuk, Eugenio Recuenco, etc.)

You have to admit, he IS one of the biggest makers in models in the industry and I agree that it's sort of sad he controls so much. There are so many faces out there that deserve a breaking point like VI but he's good at what he does. Usually. Give or take.

We expect a lot from him each month and I guess, if it doesn't match up to our expectations, we see it was bland or done before

That said, what about McNeil? Her print work has gotten incredibly beautiful and it proves she's versatile! A Vogue cover soon, perhaps?
