I deduced from "Vogue Cover Star" that she landed the most recent cover, as Ryder got the August issue, also, The Golden Age is released this fall, so i supposed it must be for the September issue, but i could be wrong, sorry.

^you are not supposed to 'deduce' anything. this is a cover rumor thread. new threads are not supposed to be started without a cover image. also, according to you and the "interview" with plum sykes in "tramp magazine," cate blanchett had the september cover. clearly your "sources" are at odds, and something is amiss. you should not post information unless it is accurate.

i beg to differ... i have seen a bevy of threads with which have not got a cover image but realiable information regarding the cover subject, Sasha's UK Vogue thread was started weeks ago.

that thread was started after cnn.com did a feature on sasha. there was more than a cover image, there was an entire video!

i would also like to agree with my fellow tfs'ers about how ridiculous it would be to deduce the information you posted based on the irving penn image. your thread about amy winehouse getting the september cover also seems to be based on false assumptions. miss winehouse may be on the cover, but it remains to be seen and therefore should not be posted as FACT. amy is an unlikely choice for the september issue, and as she was shot by bruce weber, it seems doubtful that it was for the cover. weber hasn't shot a vogue cover in the past few years; covers are shot by testino, meisel, leibovitz or mcdean.

Weber hasn't photographed a cover for US Vogue for many years but he does some type of edit in most issues of Vogue Italia though they don't always get scanned here. The focus recently has been on celebrity or travel. I could see Amy Winehouse being featured in an issue of Vogue Italia & the Fashion Rocks makes sense.

Some of us have worked at women's magazines, in both the editorial and art departments, so we couldn't resist (quickly!) mocking up a Vogue cover, if Amy Winehouse actually were to grace it, as was falsely reported today. We figured she would be in the "Hair Issue," because, well, you know.

British singer AMY WINEHOUSE is set to appear as the cover girl of American Vogue next month (Sep07).
The star is rumoured to have been personally invited by editor Anna Wintour to grace the iconic publication's front page, after Wintour fell for the singer's album Back To Black and her unique sense of style.
Winehouse took part in a photo shoot with renowned snapper Bruce Weber in Miami, Florida last month (Jul07).
A source tells British newspaper The Mirror, "An order from Anna Wintour is like a royal command and the order was 'Get me Amy'. Anna loved Amy's album so much that she just had to have her. But at the end of the day it's not just about the music, it's about her rawness, her kooky style and her outspokenness.
