I find it pretty ridiculous to put her TWICE in A year on the cover,eventhough her issue was a best seller...She is just the first lady afterall, we don't need to see her all over the place!!!

I still think the cast of Nine would be used for the November cover if at all, since that's when the film is coming out.
I could be wrong, but it would make more sense than October.

^^ Well, Nicole Kidman was on the July 2008 cover already promoting Australia and the movie came out on December. I could also be wrong though.

Just a little observation, Vogue US has a thing for award-winning actresses or musicians. They're the ones whom they really feature a lot. (Nicole, Gwyneth, Jennifer Aniston (Emmy), Charlize, etc.)

Here are sources stating that Victoria could be the cover of US VOGUE October 2009:

Being hand picked by Anna Wintour for a standalone cover of US Vogue is seen as one of the ultimate accolades in the fashion industry. And it's something b apparently has always wanted – with some people even reporting she'd de-WAGed herself to be taken more seriously by the fashion bible. Well perhaps it's worked. The rumour sweeping New York is that Victoria has been shot as the magazine's October cover in line for her perfume release in the States. Details are being kept deliberately quiet prompting rumours we'll see her fashion-ed up like never before. Bring it on, we say. After all, the last time she was on the cover of that fashion bible it was 1998 and VB was better known as 'Posh Spice', aka. the one who wore a Miss Selfridge LBD

While all latest Vogue talk has been about the September issue, it’s the October effort that might be actually getting greater attention. We’re hearing a rumor that Victoria Beckham is the cover model that month in a PR effort to compliment her perfume launch in the States. Though the chic entrepreneur has appeared on the cover of British and Russian editions, she’s yet to appear alone on the newsstands in America. Spice Girls made the front page together some 11 years ago. Beckham’s camp has tried to keep the details of her shoot very quiet though you can expect to see Posh in print like you’ve never seen her before.

gossips out of the UK were reporting that Anna Wintour finally relented, and that Posh, after heeding Anna’s orders, removing her t*ts, and staying out of the pap eye for a while, has been rewarded with her very own US Vogue cover.

I'm only excited for Victoria and the Cast of Nine. Too much Michelle for the year. It's not that I hate her or I don't like her. I love her! It's just that I want to see a new face. Give others a chance. But it would be better if it's only an editorial.

^^ I think Posh is an okay choice. At least, she's someone new for Vogue. I'm very curious to see what they would do to her. I'm feeling kinda excited, I don't know why.

I look forward to seeing her on US Vogue, as she's not someone who's been on the front five times already - but I fear what they'll do with her. I don't want to see her looking too stiff or dressed a decade older than she is.

If anything, it'll be an interesting comparison, to look back at the 'Spice Girls' cover and then see this new one in 2009, reflecting the current chapter of her life. Mel B isn't doing too badly in the US, but all she can talk about is fending off Playboy and the offers it makes for a centrefold. For Posh to reappear on the front of US Vogue is a different level of achievement.
