If Michelle gets another US Vogue cover, I really think it represents Anna's rock bottom. I mean once, to mark a very important and historic occasion, is one thing, but twice in one year? It's like Wintour was commended for putting the woman on the cover, so instead of doing something else that will move the magazine into the future, she just repeats her trick a second time. It's so frustrating, how much of a rut Vogue is stuck in...

As you might guess, I'm really not convinced by the magazine's "new departure" everyone keeps harping on about

i would love to see michelle on the cover. i love her i dont care if she uses her twice. anna uses the same people over and over anyways so why not michelle.

I can't say Michelle Obama excites me, but I don't have anything against her.
But i'd MUCH rather see someone else on the cover.
I definitely agree that 2 covers in the space of a year is too much for ANYONE?

But in saying that i'm excited enough about the 'Nine' cover that I couldn't care less who Anna puts on the next 6 covers!

Jennifer Aniston is on the cover of UK Glamour Nov 09 (typing a short review now) and it appears The Queen is on the cover of Tatler's Nov 09 anniversary issue. I'll do some snaps later.

Well, she's not looking that much different to how she does on stamps, except in a red-white-and-blue way. It's more a side-on outline of HRH's face, rather than a special pose she's done for Tatler.

Doubt they would print that if it wasnt true, or if it was just some random rumor they heard. I mean Edward works at US Vogue as well, so they would know i think.

It would make sense if December, for Wintour to close the year with another Michelle cover would make sense imo.

And it would also be traditional, the first lady for the cosy December cover....though I keep forgetting how important Thanksgiving are to that part of the world.

Overall, though, it would be much to have her on the cover again so soon.

I'm so sick of the whole Michelle-Obama-is-so-chic thing. She's already had one Vogue cover this year (which she did not deserve, imo). I think she's a great first lady, but I'd rather not see her on fashion magazine covers since she is, in my opinion, neither extremely fashionable or beautiful.

Finally! Someone on tFS has the same opinion of Michelle Obama as I do. She doesn't do anything for our country, her husband does... I think Vogue is more high-fashion than erveryday-women fashion, so I just think she is irrelevant in the pages of Vogue. Anna obviously would place her on the cover for sales.

Michelle is one of the most stylish First Ladies on the globe and I think she does more than the socialites and actresses that are regularly featured in Vogue.

Judging from Sienna Miller's repeated covers it's obvious one doesn't have to do much to get on the cover of Vogue except be favored by the editors.
