I'm really looking forward to US Vogue November, the October issue was such a disappointment for me, both cover and editorialwise.

I just went to elle magazine.com and it appears that Katie Holmes is the November 2009 cover girl for US Elle. Why her?

^ And a movie coming out i believe, Holmes is photogenic so it could be nice, but wow Hudson strikes again this year, kill me now!!!

US Vogue with all those stars on the cover will probably leak sooner this month....

ELLE magazine has announced its eight honorees for this year’s 16th Annual Women in Hollywood Tribute.

Julie Andrews, Emily Blunt, Katie Holmes, Julianne Moore, Zoe Saldana, Robin Wright Penn, Renee Zellweger and casting director Bonnie Timmerman are the honorees for this year’s event, to be held at the Beverly Hills Four Seasons Hotel.

ELLE editor-in-chief Roberta Myers said of this year’s list: “This is an incredibly strong, distinguished group of women, many of them icons, or icons to be. We are so proud to bring them together and celebrate their remarkable contribution to the industry.”

Past recipients are a virtual who’s who of powerhouse women in the industry, including Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, Charlize Theron, Halle Berry, Gwyneth Paltrow and more.

Celebs who attend the October 19 celebration will be asked to sign a bottle of Möet & Chandon champagne that will be auctioned off for charity.

^ Yeah, Katie is defo on the cover, since they have the same hair pull like they did with the last months, and it says she is the "cover girl". Thank god its not Zellweger!

More about US Vogue:
I've got a copy of the new (American) Vogue in my hands. The cover is beautiful. The shot of the women inside, also a Leibovitz shot but taken on set at Shepperton, isn't black and white, as I remembered it, but the color is very muted and the women are all wearing black. There is also one small photo of DDL and one of Marcello Mastoianni from 8 1/2, and a short article about the film. I won't tell you what's in the article, because I'm sure you will all enjoy reading it and I don't want to spoil it for you.

I'm SLIGHTLY disappointed that there doesn't seem to be a big photographic spread inside.
But I can't complain - as I got what I wanted - all of the girls on the cover!

Apparently that's the cover shot and the inside is a separate shoot.
