wayne @ the imagistWhich major major major fashion bible is going out on a limb this Spring and bequeathing a cover to a totally new generation girl? And who might that new generation girl be? She's not Eastern European...not Dutch...not German....much beloved at TI and made her runway debut apx a year ago. OK ...back to the vow of silence....

.
Since the release of above-featured image, we’ve received a number of emails from curious young fashion readers, who are simply too eager to wait for more news on the spring/summer 10 issue of DANSK. They want the details now, they say! Now, we’ve asked our interns to stop sending us these emails but we guess it’s our own fault for taking on youngsters of such inquisitive natures. (Noooo, we kid, we kid. We’d never give out our emails to the interns, silly.) So here we go:
Jamie would like to know if this is the final cover image?
No, Jamie. It’s a teaser. But you’ll get the cover soon enough.
Sissel asks what Katlin is wearing?
Sissel, Katlin is wearing a Lanvin dress and shoes by Alexander McQueen.
Tim wants to know who styled this image?
The styling comes courtesy of John McCarty, Tim.
Tim also wants to know when the issue is coming out?
Patience, Tim. We’ll tell you on Monday. But there’s not long to go...
Tim is also asking if there’s a student discount on DANSK subscriptions?
Frankly, Tim, we don’t have a clue. We get it for free and sometimes we even get one for a relative. But there’s 10% off if you get it straight from us… at the office backdoor around 7.30-ish pm… tomorrow.
Thanks for your emails, guys!

^VI March has not been shot yet.

! I just hope that this is for VP. I love Daria and Lara to death, but I would prefer not to see them on a 3 month cover rotation until they retire! I think newer, fresher models should be used once in a while. If the model isn't Eastern European, German, or Dutch, that means she could be American, Brazilian, Asian, Australian, Black, Western European (English, French)-- lots of options lol. I think it would be ridiculous if Wayne went to all of this trouble saying that the model was not European, but she ended up being caucasian anyway. In other words, I would be very annoyed if it were Dree Hemingway
! My fingers are crossed that it is an ethnic model, like Rose Cordero, Tao Okamoto, Liu Wen. My bets are that it is either Rose or Tao, as both made major breakthroughs about a year ago, which is exactly what Wayne says, and both have been featured in VP previously. We shall see. I hope to God that this isn't for VI, which it will probably end up being for
!Wayne's Rumor du Jour is quite interesting. The only two "major major major fashion bible" I can think of are VP and VI. The fact, however, that Wayne specifically says that the model won't be Eastern European, Dutch, or German, makes me believe that the magazine is VP, considering that the models who usually grace the cover are either Eastern European (Daria, Iris, Anja, Natasha, Anna S.) or Dutch (Lara, of course). Then again, the models who usually cover VI are Eastern European as well! I just hope that this is for VP.
