my logic is that if the September Vogue is the style/fashion issue (how ironic is that! a fashion magazine being a fashion special!) - they should use someone like Gemma Ward or Daria Werbowy.

The issue isn't going to go well is sales anway because statistically speaking septembers is low numbers and plus the people who buy Vogue just because it has a celebrity on the cover will be disappointed anyway because there will be more fashion and style rather than celebrity-style .

so why not please everyone who actually BUYS Vogue for VOGUE and I'm sure no one would object to Daria or Gemma! hehe

^^ I don't know actuallly because I remember reading somewhere about how it doesn't sell that good - maybe in the US VOgue next top models thread when someone was comparing the sales of the last models cover (september) and then they got the statistics for various septembers....

^ Oh I see! I remember once reading something about how the Sept 2004 issue was one of the best selling ever, but then someone else said that b/c it's a September issue, it's not clear if it sold better b/c of the models or just b/c Sept issues normally sell better anyway.

I would doubt that Vogue would up the price per issue and invest in so many pages (which ups the cost of publication) on an issue that they didn't think would sell well, so I think September issue due quite well. I would even venture to say second best out of a year, right after March.

So, my Vogue guess are

July: Catherine Zeta Jones, Sienna Miller or Cameron Diaz
September: Natalie Portman

Any female singers releasing CDs soon? They usually score Allure/Elle/Baazar covers.

I wish someone like Chloe Sevigny got the cover of Vogue - or the Olsen twins - both of whom experiment and style themselves with haute fashion.

Kate Moss would be great also - for the 'fashion issue'.

It seems US Vogue is getting its cover stars themes now, like Keira/Africa...

I think since Natalie Portman has four film out this fall, she'll be on the September cover in an India-themed shoot, since her biggest film is Wes Anderson's "The Darjeeling Limited" which also stars Jason Schwartzman, Adrien Brody, Owen Wilson and Anjelica Huston...so it's just an idea - an Indian-themed shoot.

Yeah, I think J.LO is a good choice because she does have a fan in Anna. One thing I would say is safe to go on is that it will be a returning cover girl. Jennifer Hudson, the models... I don't think we're going to anyone new for a while.

I could be wrong, but I thought that Emily Marie was wondering if the september issue of Vanity Fair is their fashion/style issue...

I thought that the fashion/style issue of september 06 (with Kate Moss on the cover) was the first in an annual series. So maybe they combine Brazil with the fashion/style theme? Hardly original imho.

What do you mean,she has a fan in Anna?

Jennifer Lopez is most definitely,personna non grata when it comes to US Vogue!She is never featured,not even pictures from red-carpet events,like other actresses are.And there was so much drama and backstage games,deals.etc before Jennifer got her cover.Weinsten practically twisted Annas arm in order to get her the cover.

And its weird if you think that someone like Penelope Cruz was given the cover,very early in her career while Jennifer was the most successcful Latina in Hollywood and had to wait for her Vogue cover longer than others.
