Cover Rumor Thread

^^Thats interesting and imo i would give Thandie the first spot and Moss the second, because someone like Kate most ceirtanly dosent deserve to be 10th!Although these lists are to political and dont reflect the real thing so its not a huge deal. And dosent this mean Natalia will get the cover?

UK Red Magazine Dec 07 has the by-now-rather-obese TV chef Nigella Lawson on the cover, that you only see shot from the waist up these days, owing to the size of her lower half...

Yes, I always thought that, so I was shocked when I started watching her current series. If you take a realistic look at her these days, she's gone from being gorgeously curvy to downright obese. They try to hide it well in the programmes by limiting the kitchen shots to above the waist and dressing her in figure-disguising garments.

I have nothing again women on TV with rolls of fat hanging off them, but the press dress it up as some sort of triumph for women, that Nigella is so large, when it's just as bad to be very overweight as it is to be very skinny. She doesn't have a 'superb figure', she's unhealthy-looking and only gets away with it because she's a well-connected society beauty with a very elegant face, and no-one wants to cross her husband, Charles Saatchi.

^tigerrouge...I find what you said about Nigella extremely rude & offensive...

Helena is Playboy Bound
But don’t get too excited. It’s a lot more artistic than you would imagine. “I’m doing a French Playboy shoot with Paolo Reversi,” revealed a stunning Helena Christensen. So, how much nudity is involved? “It will be done in ‘70’s-style, so it’s really all about the innocence and playfulness of it!” was all that the supermodel would divulge with a smile. However many clothes she will be wearing–or not–wearing we are looking forward to it!

I don't think what tigerrouge said was particularly rude & offensive... and that cover sucks, regardless of the weight of the cover subjects!

I don't understand why her weight was brought up in the first place. This isn't the Models & Celeb Weight Talk thread. :flower:

I am definitely not Playboys target audience, but i love the approach to nudity that new French Playboy has.

:woot::woot::woot::woot::woot::woot: after incredible pictorials for British GQ later reprinted by Italian version of GQ I could expect that...

Absolutely! Opinions are wonderful, regardless of how extremely they may be, as they're just another example of free speech. Still, the rules about weight discussion are clear and that comment should be addressed in the proper thread, as OriginalSin said.

HIM AGAIN: Never one to give up his 15 minutes, Kevin Federline is a tabloid cover regular, and this fall there was the arty aberration of L'Officiel Hommes' cover. Now the former Mr. Britney Spears is on the December cover of Details, shot by Steven Klein and out in a few weeks, according to a source. (For the confused who think the December issue is the one on the stands with Jonathan Rhys Meyers on the cover — surprise — that's the "Holiday" issue.) It'll be Federline's second time on the cover: in March 2005, editor in chief Dan Peres did the Q&A himself and was joined for part of it by Spears. Those were the days of evident domestic bliss: "S--t, I could go on forever about my love for this girl...I could be sitting at home doing nothing, I could be playing f--king video games. She's more proud of me than anyone has ever, ever, ever been in my lifetime," Federline said then, going on to test that very theory — apparently unsuccessfully. Despite his candor, Federline wasn't a particularly good seller for Details in 2005: at 61,179 on the newsstand, it was the second worst-selling issue of the year, though that was flat compared with the same month in 2004. A spokeswoman for the magazine declined to comment on the cover or who did the interview.

LOOK A LIKES: It's a little late for Halloween, but clearly Karl Lagerfeld is the go-to choice for fashion masquerade. Just after Roberto Cavalli's dress-up at his Halloween party last week, BlackBook's upcoming fashion spread, titled "Isn't It Iconic?" will include a female model styled to look like Lagerfeld. John Galliano, Carine Roitfeld, Viktor & Rolf, Vivienne Westwood and Anna Piaggi also get model treatment. Elsewhere in the magazine, photo outtakes from New York Fashion Week include a shot of Roitfeld's American counterpart, Anna Wintour, sitting alone in the front row, arms folded. Photographer Alexis Dahan said it was shot at the Erin Fetherston show, where Wintour was apparently seated early.

Yes, sorry for my outspoken nature. My original comment - before I went off on a tangent - came from how I believed they'd framed the cover shot to flatter her figure by cutting it off at the waist - followed by my exasperation at the way the cover mentions her 'famous figure' on the front, when perhaps her figure at the moment is as bad an example as others we can't mention here.

I'm not a hardcore tfser, so I had no idea that weight was such a taboo issue for general discussion, even though its an integral part of the visual identity of people on covers.

Ah well, in future, I promise to be less descriptive about my reactions. I'm glad that tfs promotes people having a positive view on things.

quite a scary cover...though i've always found nigella quite scary owing to her her frozen face.

kevin federline has a much higher "Q" rating (favorability) than britney spears. thats why he has scored this cover.
