Cover Rumor Thread

I think we can expect to see Rihanna on one of the future covers of ELLE,she was at lots of NY fashion shows in NY with the eic and Joe.And she is a guest blogger on their website.

welll i can see that.. she's young, she's beautiful and she is a big star.. who knows she might even appear to be i every magazine cover in the future

Whenever US Vogue is about to be out speculation starts on who might be on the cover. This speculation always revolves around celebrities, not models anymore, which is a sad thing. I would love to see more models on the cover of US Vogue and I am sure that there are quite a few which would be worthy of it. But as far as celebrities go, I just can't understand, like many others in this forum, why hasn't Naomi Watts ever had a cover of US Vogue? She is a talented actress, she's incredibly beautiful and quite stylish and classy. So, will we ever see her on the cover of US Vogue? Let us hope so!

^^It is weird, and you know i asked my friend who works in the industry about this. And well he was not nice :ninja: he said she does not sell and is quite frankly a bore :( and there is a huge shift happening;actresses are slowly getting overplayed&boring and celebrities who lead interesting(read:tabloid)lives are getting more and more prominent big covers(read:selling massive amount of copies)so it looks like it will get even worse, and there is nothing we can do about it,until it totally blows up, and we go back to annonymous faces in fashion.

The reason why i focus on articles and editorials from magazines like HB,Vogue.etc at this point(after seeing Paris,Nicole.etc on covers of Vogue....HB...ELLE)i am not even mad, just accepting and indifferent...its how it is.

I can't believe there is still no news on W :(

I am really looking forward to seeing who's on the cover - not exactly sure why.

I believe we have our March W cover girl...

February 11, 2008 -- If Natalie Portman looks a little nervous with Scarlett Johansson's arm around her, it's probably because she is.
The actresses, who star as rival sisters in the upcoming "The Other Boleyn Girl," couldn't seem more different, Natalie says.
"I get branded a lot as a good girl," she tells W magazine for a recent cover shoot in Santa Fe, NM.
"I'm like the prude, and you," she tells Scarlett, "are more sexy, more like . . . "
"A harlot!" Johansson adds, finishing the thought.
In the film, Portman, 26, and Johansson, 23, vie for the affection of King Henry VIII, played by Eric Bana.
In the interview, Johansson riffs about shooting sex scenes, including one recently for Woody Allen's "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" - in which she has a steamy affair with Penelope Cruz and a menage a trois involving Cruz's real-life boyfriend, Javier Bardem.
"There are 60 people right there, eating, like, salami sandwiches!" Johansson says, adding that Cruz is "so open and funny and cute. I want to bite her when I see her!"

^thanks for the news! on W and the Kidman shoot.

thank you missmagaddict! so is it both portman and johansson? that should be interesting although i am not particularly fond of scarlett.

i really liked natalie's 2005 w issue. the drew barrymore missoni ads remind me a lot of that photo shoot.

I was thinking the same thing...it might very well be the two of them...we'll see soon enough!

 :flower:

that would be exciting to see the both of them on the cover together.

Nicole Kidman on another cover of Vogue is not even sad or funny anymore, just plain disturbing at this point. But i guess since she does have a big Epic coming out we knew this will go down.

I am exicted to see Scarlett and Natalie on the cover of W,they sure love putting pairs on the cover, dont they.

I know...and what does Nicole have to promote anyway? Her next movie won't come out till November!

^well the shoot could be for a october/november issue.

Mixing Scarlett and Natalie together could make for a good cover shoot, given that - as they say themselves - they both give out a different vibe as celebrities. Throw the two together, and I do wonder what we'll get.

US Vogue, I don't care who is on the cover, just give me the endless ads and hopefully more-than-three editorials inside.

Seeing as Kate Moss's UK Vogue cover was leaked so early (albeit in a draft layout), I wonder when we'll start seeing advance news of Victoria Beckham's April UK Vogue cover.

It seems to me that Mrs Beckham is UK Vogue's bête noire, because it's almost as if they've tried to pretend she doesn't exist.

Consider that they have been so quick to heap praise on Coleen McLoughlin, who, even given her virtues, would be absolutely nothing without Wayne Rooney. But Victoria - as Posh Spice - was an internationally famous celebrity long before David Beckham was a major part of her life, when US Vogue was welcoming her on the cover. These days, she's a multi-millionaire mother-of-three who - whether you like her style or not - has become a fashion icon in the UK and beyond. Yet UK Vogue would rather feature a lumpy schoolgirl than a self-made woman. So I really don't understand the absence of Victoria from UK Vogue's pages, especially they're happy to feature all sorts of vacuous celebrities.

Coming up fast is Jerry's daughter Georgia May, thanks to this modelling contract she's supposed to have been given, so no doubt we'll be seeing her in UK Vogue and Tatler before long. I've haven't seen enough of her to know if the early hype is worth anything.
