Cover Rumor Thread

I still think that SJP will get a US Vogue cover in the very near future. She hasn't been on since September 2005.

I'm not even sure if it's a matter of an actress being on the cover(in my case) but the usual suggar coated image every single time.

Just a few thoughts & things...
 • I'm not saying Drew deserves another cover & I would like to see some new faces or even a model...heaven forbid...but Drew Barrymore is actually #3 on the 10 Most Powerful Women in Hollywood List. She is not only a top money earner but also a successful producer & she is set to direct her first feature film starring Ellen Page.
 • I don't believe Anna actually offered Hillary a cover...only a feature to go along with some of the other political features in that particular issue. IMHO If she did in fact offer her the cover then I don't blame her for turning it down at this point since she's not even the nominee of her party yet.
 • Gaultier_Bandit...Unfortunately we no longer have Alexander Lieberman here to voice his opinions since he passed away in 1999. If you're interested read his biography Alexander Lieberman: A Life by Dodie Kazanjian. It's wonderful.

^^ TY...I had no idea Alex passed away...so sad. Lets hope that Vogue has a good cover, and some great. Ive learned to lower my expectations, so I don't get bummed when i see it. ...Same thing goes for fast food joints ...lol:lol:

So your saying it should be a bit more edgy?
Not really, more innovative or even more creative. The covers during the last three years have been quite identical and boring. A good question would be, who are they made for? Women over 40?
Is that the actual target group or are they aiming to reach those age cathegories as well?
It does't function quite well I suppose.

I read on another site (they were accurate last month and said Kate Bosworth would be on the cover of US Vogue three weeks before it even came out) that Gwen Stefani has the US Vogue March 2008 cover.....

Are you serious....Hmmm...That is really suspicious. But I would not doubt it. Especially after she was seen wearing a Lanvin dress like 1 week after Lanvin even presented it. I would not doubt it. I liked the Miesel cover she did a few years ago.

Mhhh Gwen for another Vogue cover is interesting but wasn't she aslo rumoured to appear on the new V march cover?

Well actually the people in this thread predicted Kate Bosworth's cover at least three months before it came out:clap:

 :flower:

If Gwen is getting March Vogue then I doubt she's also getting V (but her own website supposedly said that) because Anna doesn't take kindly to her cover choice getting another prominent magazine cover in the same month :ninja:

If she does indeed get Vogue then maybe V will go to Gwyneth.

:shifty:

I think the first cover of Gwen was wonderful, and she photographs well, but i dont like how she comes off in interviews, that Vogue one was sooo bad.She should at least try and come off better.

PerfectTonigh; i agree fine if you will have same people over and over again on the cover,do something interesting with them, and people wont complain as much.Did you see the two covers of Jennifer Aniston, that looked exactly the same? What a joke!

^^she won't get the cover. The person who who posted the original rumour about Lil' Kim clearly said it was only for an ed :flower:

I hope so!
I just don't see why would some like her gat the PARIS Vogue cover (TBH I don't see why would she get an ed either, but nevermind...)

Gwen Stefani graces the cover of V’s spring fashion issue. “It’s the most amazing she’s ever looked,” promised Julie Anne Quay, the magazine’s executive editor. Gwen is featured in two separate covers (à la Demi Moore in the spring preview issue, except she had three covers). In one of the shots by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, Stefani is dressed up as one of Richard Prince’s nurses from the Louis Vuitton catwalk. Meanwhile, Stephan Gan, who’s been missing at a number of shows last week, had a good excuse. Working with Mario Testino, he just completed shooting Ashton Kutcher for the next cover of V Man.

Gwen Stefani would be such a boring choice. I know it has been a while since a musician has been on the cover too :(

I am in the minority on here I actually enjoy when actresses get covers. But yes those two Jennifer Aniston covers did look the same lol... so it would be nicer if things were a bit more interesting and shaken up.

So, if Gwen is doing V, she's certainly not doing US Vogue, which leads us to that nagging little question: who's going to be on the cover of March US Vogue?

I thought Gwyneth's ed was shot two weeks ago, according to Hana's blog. so she couldn't be on the march cover. But in the end it doesn't matter now it is confirmed Gwen is on the cover.
