George Clooney is featured in the latest The New York Times Style Magazine, their men’s spring fashion issue.

The 46-year-old Oscar nominee shared some pearls of wisdom: “What I learned most about playing sports is to cheat. I want all the kids who see this. Cheat. If you can’t beat them, cheat. And do drugs, kids. You learn that confidence is 99% of what it is you do. Literally. I went from one season to another, where I didn’t become really become much of a hitter. I just realized that I could hit the ball. And instead of getting up to the plate and wondering if I’m going to hit the ball, I wonder where I want to hit the ball. Suddenly, I was a hitter.”

excited about the Lara and Isabelli Meisel shoot

I'm sitting here with today's Daily Mail open at Alexandra Shulman's Saturday column, and she's full of praise for Kelly Osborne's "deliberately kooky looks", Peaches Geldof's "sassy teen dress sense" and most worryingly, Amy Winehouse, who she states as being "currently top of every fashion photographer's wish list". She's fodder for the tabloids, but aside from that French Vogue 'homage' with Isabeli, I wasn't aware that Amy - "style leader of the moment" - was at the top of the tree for Testino et al.

It sounds like Shulman is personally taken with her, and I suspect there is the thought forming that if Amy keeps clean, she could appear on the cover of UK Vogue. It's only my suspicion, but it'll be interesting to see if anything comes of what she's said today.

X17 Online are reporting that Madonna attended a pre-Oscars party last night in Los Angeles AFTER spending all day shooting a lingerie photoshoot for Vanity Fair!

^^Madonna is a VF veteran by now,its a given she will be on the cover.

And interesting what Shulman wrote,i definietly agree with her about Amy and Kelly they both have great unique styles and i would love to see Amy on the cover.

I suppose if they keep putting Kate Moss on the cover, then any associations or supposed lifestyle choices that Amy makes, is really no different. They could run a positive story about how she's a "survivor" while still capitalising on the tabloid interest.

I wouldnt mind an Amy cover, it would nice to see Alexandra Shulman putting someone new on the cover, maybe she could even use new models.

More V52 Info...

I just opened a preview of a new edit that V mag sent over last night. Its a story featuring Linda Evangelista and Raquel Zimmerman referencing "Eyes Of Laura Mars", a film so 70's not only does it star Faye Dunaway, it has Barbara Streisand wailing the theme song, Helmut Newton shots standing in for the work of "Laura Mars" and cameos by Studio 54 fixtures like Sterling St. Jacques. Its a fun weekend watch and a great primer for really getting into the nuances of the V edit. Will Linda channel Dunaway for the scene where Laura has to flee down a pier, dressed in overlapping layers of wool, tweed and cashmere in a vain effort to stop a murder she just "saw" in her psychic mind. Can't wait to upload the V 52 sneak peek over at MDC tmrw.
