Has Chanel ever worked with Meisel? I don't follow her career really, infact, I ignore it. For some reason I think Georgie may be one of the models included, I hope so!

I never really trust what they come out with on fashionista ... I suspect that Austria Ulloa will be included too if this Arlenis rumour turns out to be true.
Hopefully, he'll include all the black models he has shot for a cover and or main ed within in the past: Naomi, Beverly Peele, Alek, Oluchi. Yasmin, Jaunel & i'm sure they'll be many more.

All these blogs have been reporting that Jourdan will be getting the cover. I hope the unnecessary hype which has not even been verified will hurt her chances in any way. Walking for Prada has never guaranteed a VI cover for alot of models. My best bet is that it will be a multi-girl cover, perhaps on a fold-out.

^As I have expressed before I am almost convinced it's an MG cover...I see a possible fold-out as well...PS: TI mentioned that all of this may even result into two covers. Two VI covers? Or another Vogue cover? Will Vogue US join the club?

And I think it's only natural that Jourdan is being heavily rumoured for the cover...she's the Prada girl, the buzzed girl, THE girl.....

Amanda Seyfried of "Mean Girls" will be on the August cover of Teen Vogue... I have no idea why, since she doesn't have movies coming out soon, but apparently she was shot for the cover in early April.

Unless there is another suite of photographers shooting for a different issue of Vogue Italia, it looks like that "Black Model" issue of VI will include other images than by Mr. Meisel. The clues? There are certain iconic faces of African descent STILL being booked with other photographers, even as we speak. That said, the entire enterprise of this issue has been beset with serious misinformation, with unreliable sources spewing speculation that has been treated as fact by the mainstream media. The result? A SECOND major "black model" moment just got scuttered by all the irresponsible rumors. TI is now going to be on his best behavor and will only believe what the call sheets say.

Mama Mia comes out this summer, so she's probably promoting that. Amanda is great on Big Love, so I'll be excited to see what kind of cutesy, tooth-ache of a cover they come up with for her.

This is The Cover Rumor thread...if blogs come here & pick up info & post it & then the mainstream media reports it as fact...it's certainly not our fault.

Who is this mainstream media he's talking about anyway...NY Magazine? puh-leezeIt's not like Reuters or the AP or even CNN have picked up on it!

^"Scuttered" is a verb which implies that something was swept away. In this instance, it seems as if there was going to be a second major moment that is no longer happening, due to internet rumors.

Personally, I don't think any of the blame is being put on us. We're here to discuss and speculate, not to post information on the AP Wire. As for NYMag, sweet jesus I hope they screwed something up majorly. It's about time they got their asses handed to them for simply copying and pasting anything they find on tFS (or just make up on their own for that matter) without fact checking. But then again, that's just speculation.

mma you are so right! We have a human right to discuss future VOGUE covers. It is not irresponsible because we have not made a thread in the magazine section 'VOGUE Italia July 2008 : Jourdan Dunn by Steven Meisel' , we kept it all in cover rumour.

maybe yaars is right, and nymag is the one who caused it, but still I think that site is semi-gossip and not serious. VOGUE shouldn't make editing decisions according to internet rumours

Everything is just speculation until an actual cover is seen!
