Yeah, I thought it would be one of the two, Gwyneth's always a favourite, but then her last Vogue cover was apparently the lowest selling issue of the year. So who knows.

Scarlett and Gwyneth should certainly have covers of something coming up. It's too bigger movie, with too bigger female stars for them not to turn up on some major covers.

If it is that leave sit very open in terms of cover star.
Maybe Oprah since she's co-chair? Gwyneth and Scarlett make a lot of sense too though

I suppose Oprah does have a big year, leaving her show and all, and being a co-chair, but doesn't she stay exclusive to her own magazine?

The magazine would be a huge seller if Oprah was on the cover. Her last one was one of the biggest selling issues I think.
Do not want Gwyneth, she's the most annoying out of Vogue's pool of regulars.

Incredibly boring, but its sooo Paltrow on the May cover, not only does she have Iron Man 2 to promote, but she is actually in the exhibition, her clothes that is, apparently she represents "American" style.

But it would be lovely if they went with an actress a bit unexpected, someone like Julia Roberts, she is signed with one of their biggest advertiser's Lancôme. Dont see Oprah getting the cover at the moment, sadly. Or maybe they go with Michelle Obama, who knows, but my money is on Gwyneth.

Wall street 2 was supposed to be out in late april, but was recently pushed to september. but the cover choice is decided way before that happened and with Shia making mag rounds right now and Anna obviously being fond of Carey I can't see why not.. especially with the oscar nomination

Perhaps we'll see an ensemble cover. After all, what better excuse is there for a multi girl cover than one based around the idea of American Women.

I think Anna likes Carey, so it's certainly likely. However with her being at the A/W shows, I'd perhaps say it's more likely she'll have one later in the year if she's going to get one. She's also not American, which to me would rule her out of the May cover. My guess is it's an 'all American feel'. Gwyneth in Ralph Lauren or such.

Well she is not American, so that rules her out, totally imo. But i think the cover might be in her future, since Vogue does obviously love her.

So the speculation on US Vogue's May issue has began. American Woman is this year's theme of the Costume Institue Gala right? Well, it'd be most likely Paltrow because, like what some of you have said, she has an upcoming movie that will be surely a blockbuster again. And Anna has an undying love for her. So it's really possible that it's gonna be her.

But for me, I'd really like to see Julianne Moore on the cover again. Man, it's been 6 years since she last graced a cover (March 2003 by Steven Klein). And...she's American.

But Sarah Jessica Parker was on the cover of June 2008 for "Sex and the city" and she will be again on the June 2010 cover for "Sex and the city 2".

If Paltrow will be on the May cover then Sarah, it will be repeat of 2008's May & June both. Which is actually boring and not creative, but US Vogue covers & creative ideas together are impossible.

Not that excited for Demi Moore on UK Elle, after her current US Bazaar cover. Although I feel it will be better.
Yasmin Le Bon? I'm assuming she will be inside the issue? Personally I think she should of gotten the May cover.

We live in the tabloid times... whoever makes tabloids makes it to covers unfortunately... I think it ruins a lot... at least for me... but hey...

Yasmin Le Bon would have been spot on... she looks beyond amazing... and her beauty is totally natural...

Demi Moore looks great but as someone said here at the moment she is famous for nothing... young hubby maybe...
