I find it amusing to see people complaining about all the 'newbies' scoring the cover of VI. Everyone keeps craving for 'golden oldies we love so much'. But every VI cover models has to start out as a newbie to become a 'golden oldie we love so much'. Just look at 2003. Almost every cover were with 'newbies'. That year was dominated by Elise, Daria, Julia and Stam all 'newbies' at the time, but without the 'newbies' we won't have new stars.

While I do wholeheartedly agree with this, because I love to see new models, new designers, photographers, stylists, etc given the chance to make a name for themselves, I feel like the fashion world is moving so much faster now a days than it was in 2003, even in 2007. The models from the May 2007 US Vogue cover are all still working and all still relevant in fashion now, however beginning in 2009 I noticed how some of the models would have a cover or an editorial and I would never see from them again. That's the part that bothers me because I don't have time to let the model "grow on me."

Wasn't there a rumor that Lindsay Lohan would be on the September cover of Vanity Fair? and then it was changed to October? Do we know if she was actually shot or was it just a rumor?

If you remember what happened about the release dates of previous issues, I think no one should expect this magazine to be out at least until November . But everything is possible.

We can easily guess it's for US edition, and since Gisele has celeb status, she will probably get the newsstand cover and not only subscriber's, as other models last time.
