Could December Elle be Michelle Williams. Never been on the cover and has the Marilyn Monroe film out

I suppose so, she's very UK Elle. I can imagine a whimsical shoot by David Slijper with her name all over.

On the flip side Emma Watson has this month's covering promoting that movie a bit...so not sure.

Judging by the extra 'behind the scenes beauty' page in the issue, I would say Emma Watson is all about Lancome.

GaGa is in london and did a shoot in a London studio (a goat was hired). Could that be for Elle?

I have a feeling it's GaGa that's the 'icon' they've been trying to get hold of for 18 months personally. She'd be a big one for Elle to have I think, especially when she's yet to cover Vogue or Harper's.

Yeah, the British editions. The US has been GaGa'd out, with a Vogue, two Harper's, an Elle, multiple V covers.. But here in the UK she's only ever covered Cosmopolitan (which was a reprint) and i-D despite being pretty huge here. I've always found that odd personally.

Imagine if UK Elle managed to do what both UK & US Vogue failed to do and scored Kate Middleton. There's a very slim chance but wouldn't it be hilarious.

Haha, I didn't think about Kate either, but I doubt it's going to be her. I seriously don't think we'll be seeing her on any cover for a few years. She's not exactly an Elle girl either. Imagine, punked up hair, styled in a puffa jacket, shot by Rankin.

If they scored Kate, I doubt they'd waste it by putting it on a low-seller like the January issue. But then, I have no idea what fashion mag editors have got in their heads anymore.

Kate M would be fantastic only because ELLE has been much better then Vogue and would be a good laugh to piss of Anna and Alex in such way;-)
