Cover Rumor Thread

^ Will be interesting to see if Grand finally realizes her life dream, and gets to work with Meisel, apparently she been trying for years, and it never happened. I think she has a shot now.

Wait, really?? I wouldn't be surprised personally. I've heard there was talk of Meisel shooting a Marc Jacobs campaign, but it fell through over some 'fallout'.
What with Edward gone along with Pat, do you think Meisel will continue to work with W?

And I'd like to have been a fly on the wall each time Tonchi presented his Meisel covers and edits to Anna (it must go through her first).

^ You never know with Meisel, at this point in his career he is not chasing covers or magazines, so unless Tonchi gives him a great offer (free reign basically) & a great budget, I doubt we will see much more of him at W. Wintour is a businesswoman first, and checks her grudges, so I don't think she objects getting a good cover out of Meisel for any of CN titles.

No idea how they are keeping W alive though, can't wait to see the number of pages the Sept issue has!

Any other info on Elle UK. Really intrigued to see the new vision...

Me too! Anne-Marie Curtis seems to have a real love and passion for the magazine, so I have high expectations from the new redesign. I know it usually takes a magazine three or four issues, to find their feet again but I'm very eager to see Elle's September cover.

Found this article on the magazine's new look (http://www.thedrum.com/news/2017/08...-bring-magazine-back-its-roots-fashion-enters).

So the other magazine decided against the Katy Perry story and it ended up in W, interesting.

^ W cover story is styled by Enninful so its not a reject from other magazine for sure

^ Not talking about the shoot. The shoot was done toward the end of May exclusively for W magazine after the plans with the other magazine fell through evidently.

Milan’s leg of the Vogue Fashion’s Night Out event is revamping its format for the ninth edition, which will be held Sept. 14. Vogue Italia’s new editor in chief Emanuele Farneti unveiled the new logo and program during a press conference Wednesday at the central Palazzo Morando here.

This year, the initiative will be promoted under the “Vogue for Milano” moniker, introduced to stress the bond between the city and the magazine.

“The project at the core of Vogue Italia is to focus on Italy and [develop] a complete narrative on it, aimed to an international audience,” said Farneti, adding that the magazine’s September issue will be dedicated to such a theme.

Interesting. My bet for the September issue is multi covers with Italian models by different photographers. Something like: Mariacarla by Lindbergh, Vittoria by Meisel, Bianca, maybe Greta (?) and some male models like Alessio Pozzi.

I'd be interested to see what such an issue would like like because Italian Vogue for me always seemed to reflect a meta approach to fashion in general as opposed to an exclusively Italian take. Of course every now and then there were edits, but I don't recall a full fledged 'Italian' issue. In that sense they are unlike the British, American and French editions. This could be good and maybe just what those ailing Italian houses need to uplift their spirits and bleak sales figures.

Imaginary Plot Twist: September issue photographed by Dolce & Gabbana as an extension of their Familia Italiana shtick

HAHAHA I kid.

Meh, with proof that VI is a mess without Meisel, I'm scared how this would look like.

However, wouldn't it be perfect if they get multiple photographers and them showing us how they see ITALY.

So now she's got Vogue, Harper's and Elle in China, all for September! Who will be next, Marie Claire?

^ Wow, really shocked at Bella getting all the major Sept China titles, there is no stopping these girls, it seems!

About Vogue Italia September (sorry for talking only about that but I am so curious to see the first September issue without franca and maybe without Meisel) I remember some time ago Vittoria, Greta, Matilde Rastelli and an Italian male model whose name I can't remember right now, shot something all together in New York. I guess it's for the up coming Italian issue..

I'm starting to think Bella and her PR team are trying to break some record in scoring September covers. Won't be surprised if she gets a few more.

^If true, that strategy won't help her land a US Vogue cover. Exclusivity is a big issue for US Vogue, and if her team continues this, good luck.

Nothing more, please! It's enough now. In addition to the covers there's also the campaigns and the incessant tabloid reporting. Could go so far as to say that Kendall, Gigi and Bella get more celebrities at this stage. I'm keen to see where all this will lead to.

Apparently/allegedly, Kim Kardashian's big September cover is going to be Interview Magazine.
