Does anyone have thoughts, insights, or even hopes as to who we will see on Us Vogue for the last quarter?

I am wondering if Taylor Swift one get one of the three with her album release, especially since she has kept a relatively low profile even with the single and video release. Not sure if I have any high hopes for anyone at the moment.

I really hope Taylor doesn't get another cover under maybe next year (YAWN).

I was thinking Halle Berry, Cate Blacnchett and Daisy Ridley for October, November and December.

I honestly think that these Instagirls don't bring in sales per se. The younger generation (teens) is the target market here. They're also the ones who actually don't buy the magazine but rely on the internet to see the full editorial online (Tumblr, Instagram, official website) I think Bella/Gigi/Kendall +++ are on the cover for the purposes of:

1. Introducing vogue to the younger generation
2. Increase social media / online presence = ad revenue

It might be just me tho. But I've seen teens gush over a Kendall/Gigi cover on the newsstand but end up not buying it.

Gigi for Vogue Japan is something I'd welcome though. The Gigi and Bella covers of VJ have been stunning!

I also think it's worth noting that a magazine like VJ doesn't rely so much on the art of predicting cover sales like western magazines do. They simply seem to put who's in fashion (or popular with big advertisers) on the cover without much other consideration.

No idea who could get the last 3 covers, but i predict; Daisy Ridley, Cate B. Reese Whiterspoon and possibly Taylor, no way Wintour doesn't give her a cover soon!

From what I've heard D. Ridley is on Elle UK (Nov or Dec).

I'm actually looking forward to Daisy's Elle cover, especially with the new art direction. It'll be better than her US Elle cover, I'm sure.

I'm convinced US Vogue will continue in their youth direction which we've seen since the beginning of this year. Just no Lupita and Emma, please. Will be interesting to see who gets it next. All of a sudden we cannot just speculate on the 'same old, same old' gang. Maybe we'll see another model before the year is over? The profile of the Instagirls rival (and in some cases surpass) that of the average young Hollywood starlet. But Daisy Ridley would be nice as well.

A Vogue cover for Taylor is inevitable at this stage. With her last album she finished off with Vogue after an influx of covers ranging from men's titles to Cosmo to global Vogues. Perhaps she will start her domination this time around with Vogue. But yes, I'm tired of the 'feuding with Perry, Kim & Kanye' and 'trashing her exes' trajectory.

Reese Witherspoon to me is very very likely. It seems like there's a pattern involved with her being on the cover — 2005, 2008, 2011, 2014. All 3 years apart. Follow that, we get 2017. Maybe it's just circumstancial though.

Apparently Lauren Hutton has a UK cover too.

Ah, The SuperBowl. When do they usually announce? Lauren Hutton would be a welcome addition to the cover of British Vogue in my eyes!

I wonder if Reese's moment for a Vogue cover this year is passing? I know the Emmy's are upcoming, but Home Again is actually released in a few days, so unless it's the October issue she's on, it wouldn't line up too well with her projects.

I heard Jay Z & Justin Timberlake are in negotiations to perform. Pink's name has been thrown around, too.
Taylor allegedly can't, due to her contract with Coca Cola and the halftime show being sponsored by Pepsi. All unconfirmed rumors of course.

I got my subscription copy of UK Tatler, and it has a terrible picture of Joanna Halpin on the cover. Very pink, very feathery, and very unflattering to her face. It looks like her hair hasn't been washed for two weeks.

Tatler is now back on my radar after I picked up the August issue and leafed through that splendid portfolio of the new aristo breed. I've made peace with the fact that one must regard this magazine with a bit of humour if you'd want to enjoy it.

I'd be more than willing to see Lauren Hutton's gap-toothed smile on the cover of UK Harper's Bazaar, and she seems like someone Justine Picardie would be interested in. Much prefer the sight of Hutton as opposed to another Erik Madigan Heck cover story!

Also, shamelessly, I'm keen to see Gigi Hadid's November cover of Vogue Japan (that flawless December 2016 cover will be tough to beat).

Justine's model choice has been veering more towards the younger side, so I'd personally be a bit surprised to see the Lauren on the cover.
Maybe Edward's debut will be a multi-cover? W seemed to love older women a lot and I'm sure Edward had a say with those directives. Remember Jane Fonda, Donatella, Barbra Streisand etc. I could see Lauren getting one of a few covers, shot by Meisel....

Serena Williams just had her baby, so you Anna Wintour is going to get the exclusive first photos (probably because Anna loves Serena).

I would welcome a Serena and baby cover (like Amber Valetta's cover with her son).

I wonder if we'll see Nicole Richie on a cover in these next few months. She has that show Great News that's coming up on a 2nd season. I can see an In Style or maybe Glamour.

Reese has that big movie coming out with Oprah in the first quarter of 2018 so maybe she could land December? It's a fantasy film so I see Vogue styling her in something fairytale-like to hype the movie and also coincide with the magic of the issue.
