^ No need for you to be condescending. ALL of us know very well that magazines need to sell, and UK Vogue especially needs to pick up steam, we get it. But seeing Rihanna on UK Vogue after she was just on VP, AND US Vogue?! She IS the last celeb I want to see on the cover! Also, please! Let's stop trying to pretend that Rihanna is a huge seller, when she is anything BUT, for Vogue. I heard that her last UK Vogue cover, was THE WORST SELLER, not just of that year, but of last FEW years. Everyone at Conde Nast was shocked how badly she did for them. So I don't believe in the idea that having her on Sept cover is just common commercial sense, Sept sells itself. I do agree that it will be cool to see how Knight works with her though, happy to have him back for covers.

And if you think that having half of new cover stars in 8 months, is impressive.....to me it is anything but! Especially given the "NewVogue" yapping, he does. It doesn't seem enough, imo. There's way too many "Alex" cover stars he is already using, for my taste. Not to mention other things he needs to improve on.

I do cheer for Edward though, and have enjoyed several issues so far. I just wish the "NewVogue" was...well...more NEW.

And as to repeating cover stars - tfs members always seem to forget that the magazines first and foremost need to sell and appeal to the general public and not to model fanboys.

She's not known to sell magazines though! Her covers consistently makes the worst selling lists with the US Harper's ones being the exception. I'm positively fed up to see her on yet another magazine cover and as such would not anticipate her cover (September or not.)

All that's 'new' about Edward's Vogue is diversity, Meisel and McDean's studio shoots. For most part the magazine still function on the identity established by Alexandra. Dour-looking shoots and styling, the type of people they choose feature, the style of the writing, God, even the models. And this is all despite the star team which he chose to head this magazine. It more than anything reinforces the idea that he doesn't have the guts to reinvent the magazine from scratch. Fair enough, but then stop with the 'NewVogue' gimmicky sales hash.

Really hope it's not September!

It's relatively easy to swap out one face for another in a fashion editorial, but a lot harder to reclaim your subscription base once you lose them, because you've fundamentally alienated them by changing the entire direction of the magazine.

In the past we've seen stars do cover shoots as their characters (Kirsten as Marie Antoinette, SJP as Carrie, Reese as June Carter Cash, Michelle Williams as Marilyn Monroe, etc). It might be interesting to see a Gaga as Ally cover shoot and editorial. I always liked these character story shoots for whatever reason, and we haven't had one in forever it seems. I wonder if Grace's absence has something to do with it.

Keira has The Nutcracker at Christmas, which screams one of those old story shoots Vogue used to do but sadly don’t anymore.

Zoe Kravitz has the second Fantastical Beasts out in November, so perhaps an option.

Kate Moss hasn't been on the cover of Vogue Paris since March 2015, so I'd say she is long overdue a cover. M&M's last VP cover shoot was for March 2007 with Valentina Sampaio, so I'd say they're overdue a cover too (considering how much M&M used to contribute to VP).

usually jan/feb or june/july are best selling covers because they stay on the shelves a month longer.

Kate also covered the Oct 15 cover of VP, anniversary one, shot by M&M. Would be nice to see her. Not sure about M&M though. Their work for VP never really bowl me over.

It's also been some time since we've seen Keira Knightley on US Vogue! Wow, could that October cover with the weird Chanel cuff really be her last one to date? Not that I'd like to see her, but maybe Jennifer Lawrence will get another cover before the year is over.

Biggest mystery so far is September. But then again it may be too soon to speculate. What if it's Taylor, lol.
