I hoped they would only get a feature, but with Annie involved it surely must be for a cover? Anna should really shift this shoot to VF.
Now why should Anna do that? That makes absolutely no sense.
She hired her staff (Tonne) and one of her go to photogs (Annie) to shoot this, because
she wants this cover to happen (digital or newsstand). I don't know why Vanity Fair is looked down upon on this site. It is a prestigious magazine and no matter what you may think of Graydon or Radhika, at least they had some integrity in choosing cover subjects.
Even the Megan Markle coverage is in line with VF's coverage of British Royals for decades. Putting a woman on a cover in 2019 (largely) for her marriage because her professional accomplishments in America are practically nonexistent, especially in the context of "to appear on the cover of Vogue has to mean something" doesn't speak to integrity for me. Having a rotating cast of 4 black women (with an occasional wild card like Zendaya) on your cover when there are a number of other worthy black cover subjects doesn't speak to having integrity to me.
Sometimes it's really like being in the twilight zone, reading these forums.
It seems that not only are they getting a cover, they might get March which is released around Valentine's day. I bet Anna thinks that is perfect timing. Give them Feb, easier to skip. Ugh.
I'd say February, they're a newlywed couple it makes more sense for February compared to March. I've said this plenty but I just can't see Anna passing up Lupita for a major role in which she gets top billing for a cover since she's one of Anna's rotating cast of 4 black cover subjects (
Anna wouldn't want her magazine to not only stagnate but loose ground this year, I do think she's loosely aware of this, hence the cast of 4). So it's either a February newsstand for the Biebers or a Lupita February newsstand cover with the Biebers as the digital cover stars.
I think that should be the hope every Anna fan/every Anna defender should have at this point.
With so many actresses worthy of being given a debut cover (Glenn Close, Melissa McCarthy, Regina King...I know, they're too much a stretch for US Vogue).
This isn't even a stretch, it's more like what would happen in an alternate universe in a galaxy far far away
Anna and Vogue have been at rock bottom for years.
Putting Bieber and his wife on the cover can't take them any lower. Lol
Bingo! I don't know why people are pretending otherwise. Again, sometimes it's like being in the twilight zone reading these forums.
