I really hope Kirsten Dunst lands a major cover this awards season. With The Power of the Dog a very likely contender in Best Picture, Director, Actor, Supporting Actress, Supporting Actor, Screenplay, Costumes, Cinematography, Editing, Production Design, etc. it's almost certainly gonna be getting a huge and very expensive awards marketing campaign from Netflix and I really hope they push Kirsten hard. She's instantly recognizable and beloved by the general public but has flown under the radar for the past 10 years or so and has somehow never been nominated for an Oscar, despite being a respected leading lady for decades. I think a January Vogue cover would be well-received and warranted. Even InStyle would be a good fit. Sadly I can more easily see her getting some dour HB or Vanity Fair cover.

I don’t understand how Gaga didn’t get a single November cover. Do her covers not sell? Or is the plan to give her covers during awards season in February?

House of Gucci doesn't come out until late November, so I personally think she makes more sense for December, which would actually be on newstands when the film is released, or for later on during awards season. I'd love to see her on Vogue while Adam is on GQ, in December. No idea if it'll happen, though.

Well, Gaga isn't on Elle's Women In Hollywood issue, so surely it's safe to say she's on one of the Vogue's for December? Wishful thinking but I hope we get a full on festive portfolio with her like the good old days; the Gucci movie is crying out for some over-the-top, luxury fashion shoot promo. I'll be mad if it's another I&V grey studio shoot with her - they do do good photographs together, but I'm dying for something more interesting.

Nick Knight x Gaga for British Vogue would be gorgeous. I'm still not over his Victoria Beckham cover for them over a decade ago, it was so rich and glamorous and just close enough to tacky without crossing that line, I'd love to see something like that again.

I'm guessing the movie will get pushed to 2022, and if it's any good, it will likely get pushed to late in 2022, too. They just started filming in the Spring so if it's finished and coming out in December, it's a bad sign that they haven't submitted it to festivals, released promo, or built up any kind of buzz. They should change the title back to "Lucy and Desi", too.

@KINGofVERSAILLES and just like that as i was talking about Nicole Kidman, the teaser trailer has been released and Nicole looks amazing as Lucy, it's coming in theaters in December 10 and on AmazonPrime on December 21, so i guess she will land a cover for some magazine,my hopes are Sarah Jessica Parker or Nicole Kidman

I don't know why... But I have strong feelings that Vogue Paris and Vogue Italia will share the same cover star, something like Adele on Vogue US and UK!

By the way... Xtina will release a Spanish album and she still doesn't have at least ONE Vogue cover.

I'm pretty sure this month's Adele shared cover wasn't a blip (sadly) and shared cover stars will be the new norm going forward.

So, I'm almost certain Gaga will cover both the UK and US editions for December.

Anna Wintour does not want to make a habit out of sharing cover subjects with Edward Enninful, because this month's British Vogue cover with Adele only cemented Wintour's demise and Enninful blew American Vogue's attempt out of the water. Ain't nothing like securing Steven Meisel.

I'm doubtful we'll see Lady Gaga by Meisel on the cover of British Vogue, but one can imagine and live in hope over the next week or so. I like December covers to be festive and if Gaga is wearing Schiaparelli... it's sounding half-decent already.

I doubt Anna and co will make a habit out of the shared cover thing too. It's not like they used the same shoot, so it doesn't save them any money, and she runs the risk of being completely outshone by Edward as was the case with the Adele cover. I can see it happening every now and then (next time Beyonce or Taylor Swift land the cover seems like the most obvious choice), but generally I think they'll avoid it. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Anna went for another man on December this year and starts to make a tradition out of it - the Harry Styles cover was massive for them, you couldn't blame her for trying to repeat the formula with, say, Timothée for example.
