Hey.. this is my first post =)

I have red hair, REALLY pale skin.. and a TON of freckles. They didn't use to be so bad, and I didn't even mind them. But I just came back from a trip from the Caribbean and I got a million. I don't tan.. just burn and get freckles. I have so many now.

Sooo..

I want a good cover-up or some type of concealer. Basically ANYTHING that can help me cover these up. Lindsay Lohan has a ton of freckles.. but she covers them up some how. I need something, probably not a powder, because they don't cover good. I just used to use NYC Powder Cover Up but that doesn't work really well. I want a liquid one.. one that isn't too expensive. And one that covers freckles....

OK my advice would be to leave them. Honestly, you can cover them up with a pound of makeup, but most people will look at you and think "wow that girl is wearing a lot of makeup". Lindsay Lohan, for example, looks horrible in my opinion. She looked much better when she let them show. Someone like Cintia Dicker who just leaves her freckles looking natural looks much better.

But if you do want to cover them up, my reccomendation would be to go with a cream like concealer. From the experience I've had it seems to cover the best. And maybe some powder on top?

Freckles are beautyful!!!
Like Bridget said, don´t be ashamed of them, take the most advange of your face and use a sun powder as a blush, it looks gorgeous on freckled skin.
Everyone is different and you will find loads of people who love them and you´ll feel proud for having them. ;)

See these previous treads, there was even a member that wanted to tattoo some on her face :D

i think freckles are gorgeous..!! they're cute and add personality!! i wish i had them! ^_^

if you really want to make them less obvious, just go with a cream foundation (i think l'oreal is good and inexpensive), followed by loose translucent powder.

that way it may not look too thick, it'll prolly end up covering the ligher freckles leavin the more prominent ones to show through. which, as i said, freckles are gorgeous!!

I have to agree with what everyone else has said: Wear your freckles with pride, girl! :flower:

Gisele has freckles! However I will admit that they do look best combined with a tan. I know you have red hair but still you ought to invest in a good self tanner - Clinique is the best. This will give your face and body a nice golden glow. Don't cover the freckles up. You have to make the best of what you've got. Embrace them. Wear some bronzer. Mix foundation with moisturizer for a little bit of coverage. But don't just paint over them. They symbolize youth.

If you don't want to do that and go the Lohan route then Id advise you again - use fake tan - if you are a red head dont even think about a sunbed - and for foundation if you want ultimate coverage go for MAC STUDIO TECH IN either NW20 if your skin has pink undertones or NC20 if it as yellow undertones. That will cover your freckles up. Then pile on the bronzer.

^*@

I know, I know! I don't mind freckles.. it's just.. I was in 40 degree weather for a week and I got too many. Like on my chin, forehead, in between my eyebrows and nose. Not just nice ones on my cheeks.. It's just.. too much.

It's complicated. Almost everyone I talk to says I'm so lucky to have red hair and that they want it so much.. but trust me, if you guys had it, you'd hate it.

Thanks for the info ;) I'm not going to cover them all up.. and I'm certainly not going to go for the fake-look like Lindsay Lohan. I just want to make some of them less obvious, ya know?

ok then, wear a light fundation, but seriously girl you should be proud of them ;)

I agree, L'oreal has some good foundations. Bourjois also has a compact powder with a capacity smooth covering. They're not expensive.

Do not forget apply sun cream before all make up. Freckless is beautiful.;)

I know a while back Clinique used to have a powder made especially for covering up freckles... I used to want to get it, but I've discovered that life is so much easier when you work with what you've got. :flower:

if the sun brings them out- and you dont like that, slather on a good spf 45 every morning (reapply if your going to be spending a lot of time in the sun). Good luck- although i love freckles too

Lindsay is apperently putting bleach on her face and body so her freckles will go away..

Wow. If that's not taking it to the extreme, I don't know what is.
