Cows Milk vs. Soy Milk?

there are lighter versions of soymilk out there. worth checking out!
i know silk has a lighter version.

I don't drink soy milk straight either. Too much like plasticine. But honestly try a nice sweet soy milk coffee. Mmmm it froths so good.

My mum got light soy milk a few days ago for me and I've been having it instead of cows milk since. I have a lot of phlem or however you spell it (ew, I know) and apparenty it helps with that? Because it doesnt have lactose in it? Has it helped you?

I really dont know what to think about this milk buisness, one minute you should drink semi cows milk, next goats milk, then its soy milk then its rice then almond then something new comes along , all for good reasons and bad reasons about all the others, it confuses me so much:wacko: - it would be easier just not to drink milk!!

It doesn't remove phlegm it just doesn't promote phlegm build up like dairy milk does, as you said, no lactose.

I've been drinking Organic Unsweetened Soy Milk for a couple of years now. This is probably the best because it doesn't have anything else but: oraganic soybeans and filtered water.

I drink soy milk instead of cows milk for 2 years now, and you have to get used to it. Actually, i prefer the taste of cows milk, but the thought that soy milk is healthier does it for me!

To paraphrase Shantaram, forget Pasteur, I like happy cow milk straight from the udder.

Does anyone else drink Almond Milk? I am having it tonight for the first time and I like it... But it's gone a bit weird in my cup of tea. All bitty and it looks like there are particles floating around  It's fine, just looks like the milk and tea haven't combined well.

^ I was about to post that recently I've been having almond milk more often than soy. I've only used it for cereal or drinking as is. I  Silk's vanilla almond milk.

Do you think soy is "better" for you than almond milk? I know almond meal has high fat content, although it is all 'good' fats that have benefits (like eating regular almonds I guess). I like soy AND almond milk, I might just mix it up and use the two at different times so that I get the benefits of both in my diet.

when i stopped consuming dairy, my cheeks become more defined and my migraines and pressure in my corrugator muscles (in forehead) completely went away

i like to drink unsweetened soy milk

The almond milks I've been having are kind of light actually. But I don't drink a bunch of it all the time so if it was a little higher in calories than this one I think it would be alright to have some of the time anyway and I don't mind getting the good fats.

I am addicted to soy milk and I must admit, that it's my favourite one. I don't have any particular reason to drink it.
I am on a diet right now to put on a few pounds and my doctor told me that cows milk would be most welcomed now. I am not going to resign from soy, though.

For a while now I've been looking for a substitute for cows milk. I'd heard some things about the sugar content of soy milk and was reluctant to go down that particular path as I try to keep my sugar intake relatively low. I found oat milk to be nice, but the taste was too strong for certain uses - so I continued to look elsewhere. However, recently I've discovered what seems to be a perfect alternative:

It has a gorgeous mild taste, and my skin seems much the better for it. It seems to be selling quite widely in London at the moment, so anyone interested should have a look around. Has anyone else tried this?

I don't dring Cows Milk because I'm alergic to it. I haven't drank Soy Milk for a while now, I'll have to buy it again.
And I've never tried any other milk either.

I like soy milk more than milk because of a previous allergy to dairy. Even though I am not allergic to it any more, I still prefer soy milk over cows milk.

This is an interesting paragraph from an interview with the Alex Jamison, girlfriend of Morgan Spurlock from Supersize me and 30 days

" Take milk, or what she calls the "dairy dilemma". The US department of agriculture's recommendation of three servings of the white stuff a day (including yogurt and cheese) is "about twice what the World Health Organisation recommends. Why is that? Why are we all of a sudden needing so much more than everybody else on the planet? I don't understand that. And we have diseases here that involve protein and calcium that they don't have in rural China; they have very little dairy in their diet there, and they have no osteoporosis. Here we're told to drink milk for healthy bones but we have more osteoporosis than anybody. There is something happening here - we're not being told the whole story."
