I know this sounds weird, but I am really really skinny, so I guess the pants look half decent on me.

Actually I wore them today! Totally love them!

Tiamaria & Adi - it's kind of hard to say without seeing them on you. I don't think you need to be stick thin to pull them off, but I do think they require a certain amount of proportion. I don't really know how else to describe it so I hope that makes sense...

I just gave my mommy another pair of denim I don't like anymore so she can turn them into skinny jeans (but this time, I've learned my lesson, I'll make them a bit less tight).

Is it possible to shorten a sport coat?

I recently got a great deal on a pinstriped Armani Collezioni suit..... however the jacket is a bit long on me.

Is it possible to shorten the jacket? I'm in NYC and willing to take to an expert tailor if this is possible.

when you are a bit hippy...
or just have 'natural curves'...(i like to call them curves)
and they ARE NATURAL...it's ok.....

that's when a tunic top or babydoll comes in handy...
and those lovely babydoll dresses which hide a million flaws...
and still look adorable and cute...

just keep the highlight on your calves...(which will look great in the skinny jeans)
even better if you put on a heel...
because it highlights your calf muscle...

guaranteed to take off an extra 15 pounds...

kim, i'm really glad they worked for you! that's what i love most about customising...you have something you're not necessarily into anymore, and you can turn it into a new exciting piece of clothing, often for free!

softgrey, that's great advice! you're a good person to know i've always had these theories about what would look good on my body type and what wouldn't...things that flatter me and things that don't (super skinny jeans for one thing) given that i'm really short, certainly not fat, but not stick thin either...things that will elongate my body and flatter certain areas and hide others...i love that you know those things!

softgrey gave such an good idea for a perfect outfit. i'll make those skinny jeans as soon as i can, then i'll just add babydoll dress on it so it will hide my thies and then just belt on hips. flat shoes would go perfectly with it. gee now i'm customising all pf my clothes. i'm making skirt from one pair of jeans, and skinny jeans from one pair. i'll have so great summer

i have to get alot of my clothes taken in... i think you need to go through each "major" item in your wardrobe and make sure it fits properly...

i have a black top with white poka dots that i need to change... because its to tank like at the top... mabye have a bit from each side cut off...

i got a few skirts from la roudette that need to be shortened from the waist

I made a skirt from my mothers vintage dress. It's long white with flowers and IMO silk. Something like what Carrie Bradshow would wear. And I have shoes that match!
