thanks, purechris - i used normal permanent marker,

hello morgana! :)

well, i've been really into embroidery lately..it's easy, non-permanent (if you get bored) and makes pretty much anything unique. what i'd do first is take off the eastpak logo..i just peronally hate logos, and that space is just waiting for something cool and interesting to go there. you could embroider whatever you want there...i like birds and abstract weird things (hee) but anything would be so pretty...a heart, a star, something simple, something complex (depending on your embroidery talents..mine are pretty nil) or you could just iron or sew on an applique. what do you mean when you say japanese street style? is there something specific you have in mind?

hope this is helping...:)

I need tips, I just want to turn a few pairs of jeans (and don't wear anymore) I have into ankle tight skinny jeans. The problem is they are all flared a the bottom, so I need to tighten it up, but I don't know if I should do that on BOTH sides of the leg or just the side that's at the exterior of the leg?

What will happen if I am too lazy and do only one side? :innocent: And for jeans that are not too flared, do I need to do both sides?

If there is only a slight flare, maybe you can do it on only one side. The thing is that the shape of the leg gets a bit off unless you do both sides.

kimkhuu i always alter all my jeans ! :woot:
i suggest you only do the inside seam.
you don't really need to do both & it can end up looking odd if you do !
& it's much easier ! :innocent:

^ Ok, so it's better to do the inside part then? I used to do the outside.....

yeh !
most of my jeans have some sort of coloured stitch up the outside seam
which is usually thicker & if tht disappears they begin to look odd
just stick to the inside seam & follow the line of the outer seam
if they're too flared you may have to take them in frm the outside aswell
the best way is to just gently take them in frm where the flare starts !
hope tht helps :flower:

i finaly managed the star thing........well the pic is low quality and it is the first embroidery i am doing since i was about 8 so don't be to hard to me :D

thanks again francesca

The star is so cute! You should definitley try embroidering in some flashy colors for it because you wanted it to look uncommon. Or buy a fancy ribbon and sew it over the excisting bag straps (handles??) to make it look funkier :flower: Or make an applique out of random fabrics (lace, tulle) and some beads and sequinses like this? :p

morgana that looks great! i agree that maybe a more contrasting color might work because it's a bit hard to see, but maybe that's just the image. another thing that would make it interesting is maybe a few more stars in different sizes all around it.

but it looks great! i'm glad you found something that you like :)

so you inspired me to customise some jeans so that they were skinny:heart:
i also took the time to keep the original inside seams that you usually find on jeans. but i took them in from both sides instead of one

thank you for inspirng me to do this you have just saved me a great amount of dosh!:flower:
