D la Repubblica ‘DStyle’ Autumn/Winter 2024 : Raquel Zimmermann by Mark Kean

Said it before and saying it again, the only interesting feature about Raquel's face is the scar and here we have it edited away, so that leaves zero interest.

^definitely around this price even higher.
My fear as well...I don't mind paying around £20 here in the UK if the paper is decent but all these bi-annuals going for £40 now is insulting, when this was unthinkable for even Self Service a decade ago.

Raquel's ed is fine; the shot of her in the suit takes me back to that Vogue Nippon/I&V/Cortina era of the late Noughties. She's done a lot of studio shoots in her career and this isn't really at the level of her best. I always appreciate Malina's work though. A shame that Awar wasn't considered a cover option, especially since the recent cover girls have all been rather...blanco shall we say.

Yeah i assume that so, even here i think it's gonna be expensive minimum will be 25/30 euros...but i hope i am wrong cause honestly not sure if it's worth it...
If thats the price, here will cost around R$300 R$400, its a coffee table book price for us

Even with consistently decent fashion stories, I just can’t get into this publication. It’s always a few steps from succeeding to solid fashions stories— but stops short of it. It’s like they take for granted that they have good talents, and that’s enough for them to not put in the least effort and not push for solid high fashion stories. And the hideous art direction that’s always so heavy that it overpowers the content; it’s like a Saks outlet where all the merchandise are strewn on racks /shelves/counters, and you need to dig through them to pull out what you like, when it just takes some effort to organize the mess into some cohesive grouping, but the workers couldn't be bothered cuz it's the outlet. It's sloppy.

Awar's shoot had the most potential. If only they had the balls to give Awar OTT-glam Diana Ross hair, with shimmering, glossy lips, even glossier eyes, and the glossiest skin. She’s the highest of high fashion gloss, and they keep her genteel and demure— which she looks fine as, but take a chance and gloss her to the max.

(To this day, I still get Raquel and Rianne mixed up…Like back in the day, I’d always get Carolyn Murphy mixed up with Amber Valletta.)
