Daily Exercise

16 Jan: Did weights - shoulders, biceps and triceps.

17 Jan: Did a 1 hour pump class, 1 hour kickboxing class and a 2 hour dance class. I'm utterly smashed.

guys please recommend me some exercises for calves! :flower:without special equipment or weights plz... i have a fitball though:D

Can someone recommend a good, relativly easy exercise for my arms? Baring in mind I'm a lazy fifteen year old  :flower:

Friday: 30 min run on treadmill, 30 mion elliptical, light weight lifting for arms, chest, shoulders, back... crunches and stretching

Saturday: 1 hour elliptical, 10 min jumping rope, stretching

Yesterday: 30 min aerobics & 30 min tummy-butt work out without weights.

A little question to you all sporty people: How many times do you work out in a week? I try to 5-6 times.

Fitballs are great for leg strengthening exercises. Seeing that you're female, I reckon you would want slender, toned calves.

"Sandwich" the fitball between your lower back and a wall, then squat down slowly (make sure your knees do NOT go over your toes as it'll risk knee injuries, and bend till you make a 90degree angle). In that squated state, lift your right heel and let it down slowly. Control is very important here. Don't slam your heels down! Do 20 repetitions on the right, and then 20 reps for the left. I would recommend doing about 3 sets for each leg. This exercise tones the thighs too. Oh, and don't forget to stretch stretch stretch!

Sunday / 18 Jan, hit the weights area again for chest, back and arms.

I wouldn't worry so much. Just do some assisted push ups (knees on the floor, hands out wide to work the pectoral muscles, shoulders, biceps and triceps or hand in close to really target the triceps), then graduate to full non-assisted push-ups on the toes. B)

God I'm so bored. Insomnia here and I ran 5 miles on the treadmill earlier, for 50 minutes...I think it may be because I did it later in the day than usual, but I'm wide awake at 3:00 a.m. I have to be at the gym in less than 12 hours, and I hope I get at least 8 hours of sleep!

^Hehe, I get that too! It's the endorphins and adrenalin! Today's my rest day though - been at it for far too much and far too hard.

30 min stepper, 15 min jumping exercises, 15 min with weights for arms and upper back

^_^ Today is my restday, too. I am also totally tired today, so this fits good.

Yesterday: 40 min treadmill, 20 min elliptical, 10 min skipping, and lower body exercise

Tuesday 20 Jan: Trained legs, biceps and core work

Wednesday 21 Jan: 4km run

I feel terribly unhealthy 'cos I just ate some really unhealthy food!!! :(

Seeing as it's 100 degrees here & my heart isn't very good in the heat I only managed 20 minutes of strength exercises on the swiss ball

Talking of machines, i'm not a great fan of them either.(For my own use, although i think they do have some purpose.) Although for safety reasons, i purchased a squat machine, from gym ratz.
(I could of stayed using free weights, and fabricated a rack system.)
This has a main floor beam, with a cylindracal bar running on top (With grip surface), at 90 degrees.
This enables calve raises to be performed. Allowing the heels of feet to lower past horizontal level of toes. I found this of benefit. Easily replicated by using a weights plate, or alike.
I also rate the lat' pull down machine, but for triceps.:woot:

Unusual week last week. Was racing an Audi, on my bicycle, down a back road, which has a slight downward slope. Also has those sleeping policemen , that don't fully stretch fully across road.
Got something caught in my throat, and couldn't breathe.
Couldn't swallow either.
But like a complete idiot, i kept on pedalling.
Soon arrived at destination, and concluded i had caught a fly.
Guess this gives new meaning to "Meals on wheels". :D
