Daily Exercise

ran 3km

looking forward to running on the streets of Moscow once school is out! Haha.

I read that one should have a "rest day" in between exercises for the body to heal. Is that right?

HELP .. what causes that stitch in the side when running and how can I prevent it? I had to stop every 20 seconds yesterday and it was driving me crazy!!!

Went to a national park today and did lots of hiking..aka walking and climbing around on rocks. best excercise i have had in awhile!

You mean that numb feeling that runs along the side of yer butt?

No, not near the butt at all. It's on the right side of your torso, under the rib. A little bit to the front.

-spinning class 45 min

today:
-pilates 60 min
-bodypump class 60 min

my working out is starting again  need to drop two-three sizes

has anyone answered this? ill check after i post... firstly- breathing incorrectly, when you feel the side stitch coming on focus on breathing in through your nose/out through your mouth and let your stomach/ribcage expand with every breath taken in. Secondly- eating to soon before a run/eating incorrect food before a run. I tend to do best waiting 2 1/2 to 3 hours after i eat to get a good run in. Also, make sure that if you've been drinking a lot of water, you've given your body time to absorb it, you dont want that jiggling around while your running, it causes tummy problems. Hope that helped :flower:

speaking of running-sunday: 6 miles monday: 5 miles today:hopefully somewhere around there

yesterday:
spinning 45 min
bodypump 60 min
cardio 15 min (while waiting that my class starts)

Okay hear is my question, does any one know of any low impact leg exercices. I want to focus on getting nice muscular calfs and work on my quads. I was doing leg presses and calf raises for a few weeks now and I can already see results. My problem is I have bad knees and now it feels like my knees are grinding. My docter said their nothing I can do about it except ice them and try and not do anything high impact(it is kind of hard when you have gym).

Thanks

yesterday, longest run to date, 7 miles... tonight something short and sweet- probably 3 fast miles

walking up hills and hiking is one good way - as long as you focus on keeping a steady pace (i.e. not leisurely) and lots of stretching after! :flower:

Ran 12 km last night - today's my day off. Sweets, looks like were on a similar schedule - i plan on doing something short and sweet tomorrow too :p
