Here are some quotes from Daniel about his character in the film:

'It's my first grown-up role."

'This is the first time I've played older than myself - I'm supposed to be 24 in this. And,' he added, pausing for effect: 'I've got a son.'

“Daniel was not an obvious choice for a Dazed & Confused,” said Rod Stanley, the magazine’s editor. “Which is of course one of the reasons we were interested in working with him. I met him on the shoot and he was so open and enthusiastic about our visual direction even though he was slathered in paint and feathers at the time. I think these striking images by Serge Leblon and Robbie Spencer will challenge fans to consider him in a new light.”

There have been a few pictures of Dan with his girlfriends, but he's done a really good job of keeping his private life private. I know he usually dates older women...his last girlfriend, Laura O'Toole was like 23 or something and Dan was 19. They dated for about 2 or 3 years. Now he's dating a girl named Olive Uniacke.
