Daria Werbowy, on a New York rooftop, barefaced save Lancôme's new foundation. All kinds of incredible.

hen the people at Lancôme told us how brilliant the new two-step foundation, Teint Visionnaire, is, we asked to see it in the flesh. They rose to the challenge. Because this is not just any flesh, but Daria Werbowy, global face of Lancôme (and possessor of what is possibly the world's greatest leather jacket). Watch the film. You'll see no mascara, no bronzer, not even a dab of concealer. No light trickery, just a flood of New York spring sunshine. I know - I was there.

It's just Daria, glowing with the sort of healthy, athletic-looking, radiant complexion that has become the Holy Grail for just about every woman on the planet. And as holy grails go – the perfect foundation is the one that never, ever fades away. In fact, it's a thousand times easier to find a life partner than a base which makes your skin look like it did when you were 8. And the lifelong search is well, kind of exhausting.

And yet, as evidenced on the film, it wouldn't be an overstatement to officially call off the search. Teint Visionnaire is a triple threat in a glass bottle. But the really clever thing about this is that it doesn't feel like a foundation. Not even remotely. It feels like a light, whipped-up moisturiser on the skin. I could go on, but really, you can see it all right there, on Daria's face.
