oh crikes! definitely not the most flattering pictures of Daria I've ever seen (especially the cover in my opinion, if you just focus on the face and don't go any futher south ) *sigh* that's what happens... model gets big, model's in greater demand, model has to do a wider selection of work, model ends up posing half-nude in a playboy-esque spread although I have to say I'm much more concerned about how the Gemma spread's going to turn out. Knowing Gemma's child-like face and her pre-pubescent body, it's probably going to turn out bordering on pedophilia But don't worry Eword, cheer up! As they say, there is no such thing as bad publicity.... right?

You know? I understand you completely. You're such a fan of Daria, right?(as I can see at your lovely blog). So... I'm a big Anja Rubik fan. And I hate her naked pics. Why? Because I don't think they have something interesting. You see a naked model on the big A4 page and you think "Right? That should be an art...". Of course models are beautiful, but sometimes photographers (even these well-known) make them look awful. I said once I don't like naked Anna J's pics and guys from her thread said I'm too young to understand it . And it's quite surprising for me, because it's not about being ashamed. I think it's about understanding.

Remember how lovely Daria is. Remember about her clever words. Simply forgive her. These are only pics. You saw so many videos with her-talking about it. It's her work, it's her time. She just wants to earn money, have some time, enjoy her life. It's just a moment...

I'm gonna be the devil's advocate to say that I actually like the cover and the editorial. I can't really justify why I like it. The pic of Daria wearing nothing but the hat and the other picture for french magazine. I also remember the Helmut (?) photoshoot for GQ and liking that and buying the issue because of that. If anything, she knows how to be sexy while being suspended from action. Nothing was totaly tasteless at all. Calling her pin-ups a "horror" imho seems immature to me (sorry eword). She didn't kill 6 million Jewish people, for Chrissakes.

Ok fine. I don't like the editorial 100%. Let her do what she wants to be better at it. But she'll learn to pull the look if she's in "super" status.

OK...so I actually like the cover although...Freja? WTF? Miss totally shut out from the f/w campaigns thus far? Sorry, I don't like the girl, don't buy her appeal, and apparently the designers agree this season. Anyway, Daria and Gemma look cute and fun.

I don't know what to think of the inside pic of Daria. If I upheld to my own principles of not respecting women who wish to add to the objectification of women in popular culture blah blah blah I should cease my Daria love right now. However, there is something about her, even when she's all hoed out, that can't help but maintain an element of class and mystique. I just wish she wouldn't buy into the supermodel 'profile' these days (break the mold Daria, break the mold!) but I can't be mad.

What I would love to get is a man's opinion on this. Do they find it sexy?

I don't understand why Freja gets a normal pic, while Gemma is the child p*rn girl and Daria's supposed to be the Maxim girl.
