hey, guys, just calm down... most of you have been over-reacted a bit for single cover and a page of ed
it's just another modeling job... if the agency took that for her, it's fine; if the styling made her to post and dress like that, it's fine; cause it's just all about modeling. a gd model is to do exactly what the photographer and stylist want her to do. and models, even SUPERMODELS do take bad pictures sometimes, even Kate M, Gisele, Naomi, whoever,... they would have some awful/not-their-best pictures out from time to time and you'd think "OMG?! that's what kinda pic Supermodels take?! "...
so forgive Daria for these pic that happened to be not one of your fav. pic of her... and just forgive her for doing her well-paid job for her 'sailing-around-the-world/fulfilling-her-dream" 's sake.B)
and honestly, i can see a trace of Daria's 'wicked-smile' on the cover and i love that smile
i think we should blame the stylist/photographer, not Daria, it's not Daria/Gemma/Freja to choose which pic to come out afterall.

i haven't said i hate her, c'mon! disliking an editorial doesn't mean hating the model. if you really like/love someone, you see also her/his mistakes and falls of style. i'm simply expressing my opinion, which is a very strong bad review of this editorial.
i expressed it in my blog better. you can't talk about being ashamed to model, about battles to have an intellectual recognition and respect and then you come out with a pic like that, which is very pin-upish.
if you want credibility and respect, you have to have a consistent behaviour.

and now i know the key: keep testino far from daria.
whatever she's done recently with daria, it's tacky.
and i heard versace will be shot by him...

and yes, she's made also the cowgirl editorial for numéro, which is the most ridicolus thing she's done. that's a part of her gallery of horrors!

all said, with all my love for daria, i'm waiting for new good stuff again.

yeah, there's a trace of that smile in the cover, but unfortunately the overall result is clumsy.
of course it must be the agency to decide and stuff, but again it's a matter of consistency. if you talk about modeling battles, if you don't waste opportunities to talk about you difference from models' average, about your intellectual status, an editorial like that is a big step behind.
a steo behind that vanishes all her battles and that's another brick on a wall of contradictions in the whole supermodeling daria thing.

but again saying that doesn't mean hate. it's criticism. i'm still waiting great things from her.

Whats an autogoal? Do you mean own goal? Just curious as I watch alot of football and never heard of that terminology before thanks Oh and I thought that V mag was crap. It looks like another sleazy "mens" mag but I'm sure thats been mentioned before.
