It's not "I think so or somebody else does" it's just factual there are not any actual current Supermodels since Gisele(whom I dislike).

I feel as though Daria is on her way towards becoming a supermodel. People may not know who she is off the bat but she's gotten to the point where people know her as the Lancome spokesperson among other things. I feel like she (and possibly Gemma) are in the running to be the next official supermodels. Even my Dad knows who Gemma and Daria are at this point. As far as public perception goes its hard to gage who is the next - I feel as though almost everyone knows the name Adriana Lima but I don't feel as though she is a ~supermodel~ in the same sense that someone like Gisele or Linda is yet she is a household name.

On the other hand, a girl like Daria is widely respected within the fashion industry and has had all the very blue chip editorials and campaigns yet she lacks the final push of widespread name recognition. We know who she is since were into fashion but not everyone outside of fashion knows her. They may know her face but its not like how it was in the old days.

That said I don't know if there ever will be another supermodel like the girls from the trinity. It takes a certain crossover appeal - I personally think Daria is beautiful but I don't think that she has a look everyone gets off the bat.
