Once again... Angela Lindvall did all of this and she still a Down-to-earth model. And she still living in a low profile life. She is not the girt that paparazzi likes (as Gisele or Adriana Lima and other VS girls).

She's a complete model, she could do it all without being cheesy or too underground. That's what I want from Daria, being Complete, because she's talented enough to be that kind of model.

Daria's Lancome contract has given her lots of visibility. And, if we want her to have a long life in modeling industry, she has to be versatile and having visibilities.

HF models past and are quickly replaced (look at Natalia Semanova... a great one, but she's not in the buissness anymore, and she's younger than Lindvall). The girls who do just commercials work are boring (Adriana Lima is the best exemple, only Maybeline, SI and VS)

I totally agree with your post, I feel the same about Angela as I do about Daria, they are both laid-back & 'chill' girls, I just think Daria seems more picky about who she will model for, and she seems to like staying 'underground', well as much as possible.

The new VP cover is brilliant. I LOVE. Daria just exudes this confidence in her photos, like, "OK take the shot, lets get this over with", but without feeling that in the photos, know what I mean? Anyhow I greatly anticipate picking myself up a copy of this.

And thanks for mentioning Natalia Semanova. She is missed!

I dont think "refused" is the right word when it comes to her situation with VS.

She just chose to do Lancome instead of VS. Aparently there was a bidding war between the two companies and Lancome won out. I garauntee if VS had offered more money Daria would be an Angel right now.

that's a good reconstruction, but i think there's also been a strategy to avoid commercial purposes and specialise in hf.
and call it how you like, but saying no is a refusal!

But it wasnt like they were begging her to do it either. A refusal would have ment that they were banging down her agency's door and she kept saying no over and over. Thats not what happened. She was obviously in negotiations and it didnt pan out. Its not like she wasnt open to the idea of being a part of VS. Thats all Im saying.

Daria and VP... always a fabulous combination .
Well... I dont think Daria would have changed much if she did VS. As someone above mentioned, Angela is a regular too and she is still the same Angela as always. Maybe the media would get more interested in her... which has a good side and a bad side, if you know what I mean. I still prefer her being as far from those cheesy smiles and winks as possible.
But one thing is sure. VS or not, Daria will never act like one of those annoying angels like Adriana or that Miller girl that I prefer refering as "M girl" since I seem to forget her name quite often.
And I dont know if Adriana does earn more than Raquel or other more HF oriented models, but I remember seeing a list of the most earning models and I clearly remember the angels bet a lot of HF girls. VS pays a lot to their angels.

i think we more or less say the same thing, that in the end it was more convenient to say no to vs and accept lancome, which also looks more suitable to daria than being a vs angel. it's just that to me also if you say no one time only it's a refusal.

and i'm not sure that the comparison with lindvall is so appropriate, cos it seems to me that she is not an angel, she just walked for them. like elise or poly.

I would have liked her to be an Angel. But I can see why some of her fans might not want that though.
