shana lucas, i love you. i'm ready to get married with you after you posted the W editorial i've been waiting for days!!

Hmmm. Well, I'm always looking for another excuse to visit Italia again...!

but every new pixel i'm seeing i'm simply enthusiastic. great. the type of editorials i prefer. experimental, conceptual, nothing flawless thanks to god. lancome go away! :p

That's exactly how I feel. It's nice to see someone like Daria taken out of her glamourous safety zone and placed into something darker and creative. This W editorial does just that. B)

^^ This could be interesting...Send videos of the wedding night to this address...!!!!:woot:

^^ Have you noticed that too!!? One of my friends wants to take me to the vet to get fixed...!!:o

(Actually, I'm just filling in because Pash wasn't online...!!!!);)

ShanaLucas:woot: thank you very much for scanning this editorial.
I can't say I like the whole ed much but this pct is funny

I love Daria's look. She is such a classic beauty. Kind of the ANTI-Gemma.

i must confess that i have some difficulties to consider daria as a classical beauty... maybe in the lancome ads! where she's so airbushed...

And there you have it -- from airbrushed classic beauty to complete and utter trailer trash. ;) If that isn't talent...! Sweet rus, thanks -- the two extremely different photos of Daria in the same post was great!!:flower:

And Boomer -- I think videos of you getting fixed at the vet would be much more interesting than videos of eword and I getting married in Capri.;) Oh wait...just visualizing this...let me think about this some more...

i was thinking of tuscany more than capri... that's too kitsch... and american! :p

^^ If my video at the vet was more interesting than the honeymoon I'd be very concerned...Time to get back to the gym!!! :woot:

Sorry... Back to the topic at hand...

^Poor thing must be tired!!

LOL:lol:! First Marc Jacobs/Louis Vuitton, now eword! American, indeed...!

Anyway...
I was very surprised when I walked into the bookstore this morning and saw that W issue! And I almost put it aside because I thumbed through it TWICE looking for Daria. I had given up and thought all the talk about Daria being in this issue was gibberish. But after looking over each editorial closely, I finally caught familiar glimpses of Daria's face. Then, I turned to the final page and saw her name credited there.

I was dumbfounded...awestruck...amazed...that Daria could disappear the way she did into this role.

Incroyable indeed! I saw her yesterday on FTV shooting this editorial, I didn't recognize her until there's a caption below her saying "Daria Werbowy". I still couldn't believe it until that voice convinced me too. I could barely recognize her features under the hair.

I like that W editorial, I like how it's not so polished up, and isn't one of those "preen lady who's time travelled forward from the 1930's and just looks plain out of place in front of a white screen" eds, as there seems so many of these days. They're so boring! so many thumbs up, thanks for scanning ShanaLucas and the quality's not bad at all

Wow, I LOVE this editorial!!!! It is absolutely amazing, fascinating! Shame on you, self-professed Daria fans who didn't recognize her! :p Yeah, she's very edged out, but her facial features are still obviously her to me. I like that people are still willing to use Daria for the interesting stuff. As for the debate between 'Morph' Daria and Lancome Daria, I like them both. Daria's versatility as a model is one of my primary reasons for loving her. Only the greatest models can seamlessly glide between the extremes of perfect commercial beauty and a dirty, savage editorial like this one without blinking an eye, and Daria is one of those greats, imo.

You're right! Reminds me of Linda Evangelista - totally different in almost all of her work...!

I share the same dislike for the Lancome ads... Airbrushing that much really takes away from her beauty and makes her look like some average "pretty" person.

Wow...I'm a little in love with the W editorial! Inez & Vinoodh do it again. Thank you for scanning ShanaLucas, major karma! :flower:
This definitely seems to be a step forward for her as a model...I could barely recognize her in a few shots too, but her nose always gives it away. :p And her face has such a rubbery quality to it lol.

I agree with the majority of you here, that the Lancome shots are obviously miles behind this; eword you coined it nicely: art vs. soap opera . Although I must say the main Hypnose photo still takes my breath away. Can't say the same about the cosmetics shots though.

Ah...is this video somewhere online? I can never navigate the FTV site...-_-
