you're optimistic, guys, about september covers... me, i wonder if linda got the cover as a model or as a celebrity.
anyway, if they decide to give a young model a cover, i think daria is the candidate n.1. IF!
I was chatting with another member of this forum via pm about Daria's possiblity of being the next US Vogue cover girl and we both agreed on
why Anna Wintour would go for Daria...not only because Daria is becoming a "one name model", but because she fits what seems to be the mold of the type of model Ms. Wintour would want for the cover. Well, whether it be September or not, my money is still on Daria being the next US Vogue cover girl.B)
As for Linda being picked as a
celebrity or
model -- this is difficult to assess, depending on how one defines 'celebrity'. Speaking as how 'celebrity' is defined here in the US -- out of all the supermodels, Linda is certainly no longer a household name in the US (although this latest cover will likely jog some memories). She's not even a US citizen. Whereas Cindy Crawford and Christy Turlington will always be popular here for the very reason that they ARE US citizens, Linda will not. Moreover, Linda hasn't even done a runway show here in years. So again, I believe Anna's choice for putting Daria on the cover would be for the same reasons she put Linda on this August cover. Ummm...PM me if you're interested in my
take on those reasons...
kuba01, thank you for posting the inteview.
The latest Cavalli underwear ad. Welllllll...for what it is, it's fine. It's not my favorite Daria ad, but it's still darn good for a kitschy underwear ad and I would not be surprised if Cavalli underwear sales started going through the roof!

It's showing yet another side of Daria's talent and that's fine. Now, all we need is for Daria to show up on Victoria's Secret's runway.

(sorry,
eword, I couldn't help myself
