From a strictly high-fashion viewpoint, I believe that she has made an impact with her look, versatility, personality, and intelligence. In a dollface-obsessed era, she was able to intrigue without fail. In a society that thirsts for controversy, she was able to keep her genuity and continues to exude maturity whereever she goes. In a short commercial with a rather dark ambience, she was able to dazzle through words and expressions. No, she does not have the celebrity status that most "icons" tend to have. No, she does not wear Victoria's Secret's angel wings. No, she does not throw phones at her assistants or get caught on camera doing controversial things -- but isn't her low-key style exactly why she deserves recognition beyond what the fashion world can offer (Even if she doesn't seem to want the attention)? Isn't she a great role model for generations to come?
