^^Ditto, gotta agree with the Darialoglist about the candid in #9040! Thanks for posting Mettchen!
and I also love that 4th unused pic in the Sunday Times shoot eword~
Yeah she does look tired at Balmain...I like the whole tired, untousled look in candids but imo it looks a little lackluster on the runway. But she looked killer at Versace...either way, so thrilled that she's back!
^ crea! nice to see you again!
i think it's a matter of fact i have less than zero sensitiveness to fashion, so i prefer the tired looking balmain to the extrastunning versace... to me, btw, versace isn't that classy either.
^ You too eword! I had to come out of hibernation to celebrate Daria's return
And I'm sure your sensitivity to fashion is no less than mine...it's just personal preferences. And you're right, Versace certainly isn't the epitome of classy (although improved lately). I guess for me the glam and natural Daria are equally alluring, and the contrast between them keeps things interesting...
some words about Daria from Time Is Right for New Supermodel To Emergearticle "A certain number of girls will start in New York City and get the good shows. The shows go immediately online. Then one or two models will start getting buzz, whether they do Marc (Jacobs), Calvin (Klein) or Karl (Lagerfeld), then they go on to a cool show in Milan and then THE show in Paris. ...Daria (Werbowy) was the most recent wildfire," Fish says.
Armenta from Vogue says Werbowy came at the right time. "I'd seen pictures and heard of her, but when (Steven) Meisel shot her for Prada, it blew her out of the water. She was unique. She had such presence. She's so gorgeous and unique but not in an off-putting way."
The models not only have to look good in clothes but also "fit" them, says Ivan Bart, senior vice president of IMG Models, which represents Werbowy, Bundchen, Moss and Jacquetta Wheeler... Again using Werbowy, now the spokesmodel for Lancome, as the example, Bart notes that she had the hippie-chic look when everything coming down the runway had a bohemian style.
