I love her so much but I don't think we need her to be back yet I dont want a "come back" : a cover , campaign or show and then nothing like the industry use to do these days
She deserves more than that , I'm glad she is taking her time and hope to see her back to teach all those young models how to model

Although I would love to see her back in the spotlight of the fashion industry, I think she might shift her focus to her new-born baby and family right now. Let's give her some more time and I believe she will come back one day. Many designers and casting directors are still in love with her.

the industry is desperately needed a true model like daria. i miss her works so much. i hope she will appear in campaigns this season or a french vogue cover.

Yeah it'll be very interesting to see where Daria fits in now. The entire fashion industry has changed radically since she kind of took a step back. She's certainly not going to be part of the Insta scene. But those girls are really getting ALL of the work. And what they aren't taking is going to Victoria or a couple other kinda low key fashion darlings.

I mean, obviously Daria will always have fans in the fashion industry. But will the ultra lucrative blue chip campaigns still be available for her? I have to assume (and certainly HOPE) that will be the case.

^I think she will. She is a supermodel, don't you think? She has accomplished so much, she is one the best, I think the industry will always have a place for her. I don't think she'll be working as much as she was say 10 years ago, but I think she will work every now and then and there will always be a place for her.

Yeah, I think so as well. Certainly there will be work for her. But look at Raquel - she disappeared for a while (I'm not sure why, perhaps she also had a baby, I really don't know her personal life at all), then she came back to fashion about a year ago. She's certainly a supermodel and an icon as well, and yes she got some campaigns, but they were Tiffany & Co, MANGO and Alberta Ferretti. Hardly the stuff of her glory years.

Does Daria still have the Lancome contract? Her last campaign for them was Spring 2016.

With all of this being said - I honestly don't think Daria herself gives much of a hoot about any of this. She's never been attention hungry. And she has the financial security now to really live whatever life she wants.

I've understood your point, but it's a matter of prospective..I mean about the way we consider a brand as BIG.
You have mentioned Tiffany, Alberta Ferretti etc..BIG players trust me (in terms of prestige, mainstream circulation and photographers that shoot the campaigns).

You're not BIG as a model only if you book what is perceived as an "it" brand of the moment.

Daria (as Raquel) IS a supermodel with a longrunning career so it's obvious she can't book for 15 yrs the same campaign-scheme: Versace, Prada, Ferragamo etc. But this does not mean her status in the industry is threatened.

It's not so impossible a new deal with Lancome imo, but she has been the face of the House for so long so it's natural if they want to change direction. As happened to Erin Wasson with Maybelline.

Daria just doesn't like fashion, much like Julia Nobis. If either of those women had that Linda Evangelista fire in their bellies, they could be knocking Gigi off the face of the earth. Yet they're just not interested, it's as simple as that. You can't spend all the modelling money when you're dead, they probably have enough at present to just lay low.

OMG always this thing of labelling a girl "TOP", "SUPER", "She's the only super out there" etc.
I was talking about her professional career IN the industry and to me Daria IS a supermodel (intended as top model ok?). That's all.

Nobody said Raquel WENT AWAY..but it's a fact that her career has had an intentional slowdown after 2011 (year in which she was featured in a LOT of blue chip campaigns) and then she has returned with some prominent work here and there.

Do you honestly really think that if some people think that Daria is a supermodel and you say she is not, we will somehow stop thinking that she is? Really?
