Davidelfin S/S 10 New York

The second to last look with the two colored jacket is sooo Jil Sander SS09....copying much?

Adorable, it's futuristic, daring, and the colors are so vibrant! Plus I love the androgyny touch he put to it, kinda jpg-ish but it's ok!

i feel like he's our alexis mabille....i'm interested to see what he does in the future.

Hm... Some of this actually looks nice (i see two dresses i'd like to try on :p ). But most of it just isn't my type, I'm not into the colours or the asymmetry. and yes, i see jil sander too.

Oh my God and the "Virgin of the Carmen".

1. The designer's name is David Delfín. Davidelfín is like a play on words. The same as if Karl Lagerfeld had called his brand Karlagerfeld. The same.

2. David Delfín has personal style. If you see one of his shows without knowing he has done it, it's easy to recognize that he was the one who did it. Only for that he deserves being there.

3. "who knew anyone would have the guts to put tube tops on men after jean paul gaultier did it.... "

This sentence written by mikeijames really shames me. It's ok if you have written it just to demonstrate people you know "a lot" about fashion, and that you knew that JPG just "put tube tops on men" a while ago...
I'm pretty sure the meaning of that horrible sentence is that, because if it wasn't it , as I said, it would be shaming. Everybody copies everybody. If it wasn't like this nobody could do nothing. . ;) Besides I'm pretty sure too Jean Paul wasn't the inspiration when David created that "tube top for man".

4. I can't believe how people have said he COPIES Jil Sander. May be it's because I don't know who's Raf Simons and what he does for Jil Sander or may be because my eyes don't see the same as yours. My god, it has nothing to do with Jil Sander!!

5. I didn't like the show.

6. It's absolutely wearable. Do you joke when you say it isn't ?

aside from the more draped looks (they just looked dowdy &let the rest down) i loved this collection. even the colour palette! so simple &well thought out, though i realise it's not everyone's cup of tea ...

^No, this is his second show in NY, but he has been doing it for some years in Madrid

i'm sorry, but it's not like multiple menswear designers put tube tops during the presentations this past june. also, it's not like gaultier is some small insider brand to which no one pays attention. therefore, it's notable to find someone so bold as to do the exact same thing just three months later. i'd have posted the same thing no matter who had the audacity to do it. i don't have to know "a lot" about fashion to remember a show from barely three months ago.

the man suit is simply ugly. a man don't need to look like a girl to be fashion...to me...

it's actually really growing on me. upon watching that clip, it reminds me of calvin klein a little. and i'm having a quiet romance over those louboutin shoes.

I love the mint green colors. I thought it was rare to find that color in the racks of the stores... such a beautiful color. I saw it at Lacoste too. I hope more designers use it. <3
