:heart:it

it really shows that a lot of thought has been done to the shoes:blush:
it also livens up any ordinary outfit

I love when designers decorate the heels, to me i think its suuch a beautiful art!! :D i just appreciate it more, because of the thoughts and the ideas they put into makin that shoe! :D

I like the Miu Miu's, Proenza Schouler, the pradas didint show up.
the
Marc Jacobs, and the last 3 ones. :D

I have a problem with these heels. However, not for any style reasons. The thing I just wonder is about safety wearing these. The Prada pumps from Post #1 is a nice example. I just have my doubts that wearing pumps with heels like these have any heels that don't break easily or anything like that. It is an interesting thing to see a different style to such classic shoes. And as a person who's adored art most of his life, I applaud the creativity of such designers.

The common styles of heels are usually the good old stiletto heels and sometimes chunky heels. One time when I went to Hobby Airport here in Houston, I saw a lady wearing pumps that had a ring design as a heel. I've even seen some sandal designs from the now-defunct Girlfriends LA juniors' fashion store (now either Delia's or part of Delia's) that there were some wedge sandals with an ugly kind of design. My kind of concern relates to being able to have these as long-lasting shoes and sandals rather than very decorative shoes with decorative heels that could break quite easily. That's just my problem with these shoes. Otherwise, some pretty interesting designs. REALLY love the Prada pumps from Post #1 the most.

the first pradas are gorgeous, but i don't like the velvet ones and the last wedges from balenciaga in post #2 as they look kind of cheap to me.

^actually the wedges are stella mccartney and I agree, I thought they looked cheap too.. she should have made it in different materials

At first I didn't really like "decorated heels" because they don't fit my typical style, but the more I see them the more I like them. They give an outfit so much personality.

not sure yet, heels are definitely getting more attention these days... does someone know some older examples for that?

I am completely in love with the Prada heels from the first post, they aren't too outlandish for my subtle tastes.

Miu Miu have a lot of this.. not sure if I like everything though:huh:

I only like this first pair

^ I think they're just under $1k? But I cannot promise.

Great thread.

I have been noticing these heels lately, but they're really hit and miss for me. I love practicality, I love some art, but I don't like gawdy or just ugly... some of those shoes DO look cheap...

But the Prada ones really are spectacular.
