The styling of this collection is really flawless to me.. tho' being a fall collection I get a more of a summer vibe from it.. then again it is a LA based label..fall is obviously different than for someone living in say.. Denmark :p

The duo behind the label stylists Emiley Current and Meritt Elliott, style the young and pretty in Hollywood.. which accounts for the very young feel of the denim.. To me there's a bit LA Eastside (Echo Park etc - never been, but thanks to the streetstyle thread I feel I have been ) over the collection ..

I absolutely love these jeans but the price tag is just too much for me. I wonder if there will ever be a sale of some description. I need those flared jeans!

I first saw them at Barneys and am now seriously considering getting a pair.
I heard they tend to run large but does anyone know if that only applies to the boyfriend style or also to the skinny jeans?

^The skinny jeans run a size large as well, because they are supposed to be worn a little slouchy (see them on the model at lagarconne). If you want them to be "skinny," order down a size. :flower:

Thanks! So do you think if I wear a 26 in J Brand the 25 would fit me?

I tried these on and thought the denim was skimpy and very frail. they did run large though, even more than one size.

It's suppossed to have a worn in, loved feel.. as the label is inspired by vintage jeans.. On their website they write that the denim they use is a 'stretch japanese denim' .. worn in is one thing.. but frail ?

^I don't think I would call them frail - lightweight would be a better term. They are very comfortable and don't have that stiff feeling that a lot of other jeans do, if that makes sense.

leyla - I believe NAP carries them or if not, they will soon :flower:

I've been noticing these jeans everywhere lately. It's so funny because the idea of these ripped/paint splattered jeans is so A&F 5 years ago, but something about the way they do it feels fresh. don't know why. Maybe just the styling. I agree that the price is a bit steep though they are quite cute.

Prps makes similar jeans for over $300...so I don't think the price is steep - they're actually a steal, IMO. I'm wearing my skinny slouch now, and I just thought I should point out the fact that the distressing (holes, tears, and such) is not fake - the holes are all the way through the pant and will unravel more with multiple washings. I like that (I have done it myself to other jeans before), but for people that want their pants to retain the same look over time, I just think it's a good thing to know before you buy a pair. :)

You are so right. I think that's their secret. 1) Product placement 2) Styling. I have seen these jeans modeled at several stores online such as Revolve, Chickdowntown, Neiman Marcus, etc. and at some of these stores, I'm like  and at other places (like Chickdowntown), they look GREAT.

We stocked them at the boutique I used to work at and personally, I think they only work for certain people. For those people, the price is great. But for others, I think a $80 pair of A&F jeans would be MUCH more flattering and fashionable.

I dont know...when I tried them on they are so lightweight that I almost put my foot through the ripped knee hole and heard the threads start to shread fairly easiy  if I wasnt careful I would have turned them into trashed jeans. I would say frail is accurate, japanese denim or not. B)

It's good to know that the demin is very soft and gives in. I'm just not happy with rigid denim.

When I first saw them I wasn't sure if they are worth the money mainly for the reason that I was afraid that they might look dated. It's not too long ago that splattered and ripped jeans were in style. I still have a Paper Denim pair that is in that style but I don't feel like wearing it anymore. I do hope that I'll get more wear our of these (if I get them). I also agree that there's something that sets them apart from the typical A&F or AE jeans but I'm not sure if it's the shape or cut.

^The cut is phenomenal - I think that is what sets them apart. I must add, though, that today I put my foot through the rip at the knee putting them on, and now the hole is somewhat bigger. I like the destruction aspect, though. I think I like them even more now - now they are personal! :)

Now I'm really intrigued and can't wait to get a pair. Hopefully the 25 will fit me. Thanks for your input.
