i do not care if people think they are unflattering, i feel comfortable in them!

and sorry my super messy apartment, i did clean it up after seeing this picture HAHAH

I'm looking for a fitted pair of boyfriend cropped shorts. I'd like them to be fitted at the waist but loose on the thigh if that makes sense. If I have to i'll buy them a size larger but I'd prefer just to find the right pair. Does anyone know where I can find these?

My thigs aren´t the smallest ones(), so I´m not quite sure what length my shorts should be? Help?:flower:

I've been wearing my boyfriends jeans that I cut and then shredded all across the front...So comfy.

I think the lovely girl from this blog wears them fantastically, if a little risque at times!

I cut/bleached/distressed mine myself (yay DIY!) and I've been wearing them pretty much every day so I think they might actually fall apart by the end of this summer. And I wanted so much to wear them with woolly tights and ankle boots in the winter.

I've pretty much been living in my £10 vintage, ripped up denim shorts all summer!

I've got a pair at Zara a few months back. I love them. They have the perfect length and if I want them to be shorter I can always fold the hems up.

these seem to be one of the biggest trends in NYC this summer...
i guess it's what they are calling a slow burner...
it started last summer or so...
but is still burning...

:p

i love them... and today i got a new pair ive been searching for a long time... the white ones...

jeans shorts or long is a thing i never get tired of getting more (ok this sounds greedy)...its never enough of them... even when my mother says they all look the same.... they don't! haha

Do you have any tips for wearing the longer too-big denim shorts? I have a pair that have seldom left the closet since I ordered them summer 2008 and I need some ideas ^_^. I have the short shorts and those are easy to wear, as well as longer fitted destroyed denim shorts which are also easy to wear. These are just difficult for me.

They are levis 501s but they are too big for me. Like I need a belt or they will probably fall down when walking or going from standing to sitting, etc. It's funny b/c I have a pair of full-length 501s that fit perfectly (or as perfect as a boyfriend-ish jean is supposed to fit — loose and relaxed but not too loose or baggy — and they are the exact same size!

The color is bleached out with a little bit of a dirty-tinged tone and destroyed in places. They have a cuff and it hits just about the knee caps. I like the loose look on the thighs but I hate that bunched fabric from the belt drawing it in. I try to disperse it around so it's not bunched denim in the front (unflattering). So far I have worn loose Ts tucked in the front only with it, and loose long tanks, but I don't know if it looks too homeless and sloppy. And fitted or shorter tops reveal how loose and bunched the waistband is.

I found a pic of similar shorts in this post but do you have any other idea to offer besides loose T or tank? How to cover the sloppy-in-a-bad-way waistband and still stay true to the loose-in-a-good-way look? Thanks!:flower:

i love jean shorts with heels. so easy to look trampy though, but who cares.

Just wanted to let you guys know I solved my dilemma. I did an oversized lightweight cashmere vneck, for hiding the waistband but still revealing the shape of a body, not tent-like. And ballet flats to add femininity and polish to an otherwise boyish and sloppy look.^_^
