it is boring. its cute though. The items i have seen of his tend to have amazing detailing and focus on expert tailoring. these pieces might be stunning in person.

I like it for what it is. I can see the resemblance to Oscar de la Renta. He knows what he's good at and does it well. I really enjoy this collection.

I have to agree - I see strong resemblances to Oscar as well!
Especially one of the dresses (I forgot which model wore it), but it looked so much like the poppy dress from Oscar last season!

Expertly constructed and detailed. There are however looks that are diametrically opposite in my opinion and could have been edited out.

Too much animalprint for my taste. I like the satin pieces though.

dont really like the prints.. but the simple satin pieces look like they could be interesting.

Definately see him as a modern day de la Renta.

I'm disappointed I have to say. Its pretty but its boring. Too De La Renta and not enough Derek. Granted I was surprised but this seems to be reaching for a far older clientele than the typical Derek Lam girl - at least what I envision to be the typical D Lam girl. These are clothes I'd like to see my mother wear.
