Dermalogica

please forgive me if this information has already been posted, I haven't read this whole thread.

but for those of you in the US, you can go to this website:
http://www.myexclusivespa.com/category-s/447.htm
which sells Dermalogica samples for $1 to $1.25 each. Then if you type in the code mem5 at checkout, you get $5 off your first purchase. And it also gave me free shipping, although I don't know if that's the code or the site's standard procedure. So you can get 5 samples for free :)

I've been considering Dermalogica for a while but I'm going to try these samples first and see what I like! I paid 50 cents since I got two samples that were 1.25 . . . much better than paying thirty to forty dollars for something that I've never used before!

i just bought the Special Cleansing Gel and Daily Micofoliant. I have never tried their products before but have been staring at their stuff on the shelf for a long time and reading a lot of reviews...here's hoping I didn't spend $80 for nothing!

I would like to try an eye cream from Dermalogica, but which one should I choose if I'm 18 years old with almost flawless skin, but it's quite transparent? That's especially a problem around the eye area, where dark circles and smiling lines are very visible , along with the blood veins (but I guess that last thing isn’t anything to do about). It also stings a bit under the eye after removing makeup, so I would like something that's a bit moisturising.

i love love love the thermal range . it's stupidly expensive though. there's a soap & glory lovely alternative.

I'm considering ordering the Gentle Cream Exfoliant - the sample I got of it was very good. My skin doesn't like manual exfoliation unless it's very gentle. I think I'm still going to look for one with small beads that isn't $40 . . .
And the Daily Microfoliant wasn't that great for me - I got the same results that I get from a baking soda scrub!

^I have the same problem as you with scrubs, and I looooove the Gentle Cream Exfoliant

Total eye care! The cream reduces the appearance of dark circles.

^It made my eyes so puffy, it's really irritating. A waste of money IMO.

I got the Total Eye Care as a sample, but won't be buying one. I honestly can't see any difference at all. Everyone is different, though, so may work really well for some people.

I just bought the beginner's kit from Ulta for $35, anxious to see how it works

Bump!

After reading everyone's opinion on this line, I got a skin analysis about a month ago at my local spa and bought the cleansing oil, soothing face wash, daily microfoliant, active moist, and tinted moisturizer. Love this line! It's amazing..no breakouts, makes my skin look flawless. I'm so impressed.

It's my favorite too, and I've quite a few brands because of my sensitive skin.

I use the Special Cleansing Gel daily, I occasionally use the Daily Microfoliant, and I have used the Overnight Clearing Gel when I get or sense a spot (much less harsh than the popular Johnson & Johnson Persa-gel which I found way too drying).

I've been curious about the Active Moist that you mentioned, as I love oil-free moisturizers.

I'm scared it will break me out, but everyone in this thread also seems to rave about the Precleanse...

Do you find the overnight clearing gel effective for stopping breakouts or making them disappear quicker? I like the fact that you said it's less harsh than other clearing products.

Active moist is really good! I have the type of sensitive skin that breaks out with pretty much every moisturizer I use. So far, no breakouts or clogged pores from this. The girl who did my skin analysis told me I only need to use the amount that equals a pea, rub it into my palms and pat it on my face. It was a really good tip- it's just the right amount of moisture for me.

And again with the precleanse, I echo everyone's sentiments that it works really well. Doesn't break you out, since you're washing it off immediate after use, then washing your face with cleanser. It actually prevents breakouts rather than causing them because it gets rid off all the dirt in your pores ^_^

I can't believe that the Skin Resurfacing Cleanser hasn't been mentioned in this thread yet (unless I over-looked it ).

It is Awesome!!! It's like a face wash version of the Gentle cream exfoliant, because it also has the lactic acid in it. It's very gentle and leaves the skin looking bright and amazing. Highly recommend this one :)

I think it's best for clearing spots that haven't become full-fledged pimples yet (those red/just about to rise spots), or those pesky below the skin spots. If I notice a spot about to form I put it on and it's gone within 24 hours. I don't really get breakouts, so I can't say if it would be effective to treat that. I think their "Concealing Spot Treatment", which unfortunately doesn't have as good of reviews, is more for clearing actual pimples that have broken out.
